Congratulations to all of those people who were approved recently! That's always pleasant to know that your case is moving and that family reunion is closer.

Iamwhatiam80 and all of those who haven't been approved yet, do you have any ideas why it takes so long to approve our cases? Some people got RFEs at least. Our case is pretty straightforward to us. By saying that I mean that it's a true and loved relationship and we married after three years of dating. The only thing my husband is younger than me (for some substantially, for us it doesn't make any difference). When submitting a case we made sure that all the documents (as well as pictures and affidavits) and all the applications were precise and in order. However, I've read an instruction regarding the red flags for the USCIS in approving petitions, and difference in age is one of them. So in my case, it may be the reason why it takes them to go beyond five months, which is the officially released term for reviewing cases for our USCIS office.

I am trying to find any logic behind the approvals. Or there is no logic and it's pure luck whose case is next?

Also I am thinking to address the congressman in my district.

Friends, please share your thoughts or perceptions. This blind waiting sometimes can be so frustrating. I know we are all in the same boat. Keep patience and trust.

Good question, I would like to know that as well. Does anyone know how long does it take once I-130 is approved for spouse to come to US? Assume priority date stays current for most of us.

i read congressman or senators can't really help better call USCIS and talk to tier 2.. yes most of black on list got RFEs pray for approval not RFEssmile.png

do not worry about age gap i read k1 visa approval with age gap plus u are aready married good.gif u are just 5 months waiting, i waited 11 months and some 2011 filers waited 2 years for noa2.smile.png

Hi summer eyes... before I got the approval I was in the same position as you, asking myself why... of course you always get happy for all those who get approved but as you said, you also try to look for a logic as to why some August cases got approved and some July cases are still pending... In my opinion it depends on the officer that was assigned to your case and how efficient he or she is... and also it depends on how long your backround check takes. I'm not an expert and that is just my opinion... that was the explanation I gave myself before getting the approval. In regards to talking to the Congressman or senator... I did that for one of my immigration process and it worked for me. I think you are going to get approval soon. Good luck and God bless!

2/6/13 - Sent AOS package and it was delivered 2/13/13.

2/20/13 - CASE COMPLETED
2/22/13 - Sent photos as per checklist and they were delivered 2/26/13.
2/27/13 - Received email saying that they had all necessary documentation.
3/6/13 - Received email scheduling interview for 4/12/13.

4/12/13 - Passed Interview. 5/20/13 - Entered USA.

According to what I have seen here some people get it a month after the approval. If you call they are going to tell you to wait 8 weeks

Congratulations to all those who have been approved, you are good to forward cases ... Like imwhatiam80, between my husband and there is an age difference, my husband is older than me, but we love, we have two daughters in common, sometimes I think like you, but God knows when it's time, luck

I waited 6 weeks for case number to be assigned after NOA2. so just hang in there...you will get something soon...

Does anybody know about the Civil documents requirement?

I mean do we need to submit original birth and marriage certificate to nvc or certified copies?

u have 2 summit original birth & marriage certificates 2 NVC
