For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

yes you are the USC IR-1/CR-1 ... honestly well i looked on your posts and i remember you .....Congratulations!

I am from Pakistan, we submitted computerized national database marriage certificate (NADRA) but they wanted to see the original Nikkah Nama which is the traditional/religious marriage certificate. I had told my lawyer I have both these two forms of marriage certificate and which one should would he need. He submitted only the computerized one. I got RFE on that. It turns out the USCIS clearly says the computerized one is not a replacement for the nikka nama and will not be accepted.

It's true the computerized version is more authentic and I don't know why USCIS doesn't accept it alone. However at the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether I or my lawyer think this document 'should' be good, his job is know what USCIS needs specially when its right there on their website. You can't imagine how upset I am! Even if I had to file this by myself, I would most likely have submitted both to be on safe side and this is basically what USCIS website recommends as well.

sorry to hear that okemo, your lawyer should have sent at least the photocopy of your original MC and english translation if it was not in english, cos our lawyer just sent photocopy of our MC he said that original will send to nVC... anyways God's time is the perfect time. see you soon at NVC processing

I received my NOA 2 approved for my wife with a receipt date of 11/07/2013. My lawyer is now waiting for further communication from NVC for which I have submitted all required documentation. We will see what happens next.

Did you receive any RFE or have to call customer service to see what was happening with your case?

We are very worried, we don't know what to do. We don't know why it's still pending, we considered our case was simple to review, without any immigration issue, but we still have hope we are going to get NOA2 approval soon.

I wouldn't worry too much. My PD was 4/15/2013 and NOA2 had a date of 11/07/2013 which is approximately 7 months. The only caveat is that on Sept 4, 2013 my case was transferred to Nebraska and I upgraded my application from F2-A to IR-1 when I became a citizen on 09/27/2013. My citizenship seems to have helped speed my NOA2 but I cannot be sure of that. You may need others in this forum to prove or disprove that theory.
