Hi guys, I am devastated to hear this news when I called the US Embassy today and asked about my visa because it has been a week since my interview and no call in 2go or any info that my visa has been dispatch. The agent said that my case is in Administrative Processing and I did check it online its the same. Its confusing because the consulate approved me and the releasing part they didnt give me any paper or 221g form to be exact. In fact they make sure my pick up 2go branch and simply say 'You can go home.'

So my question is how long does it take? And what are the reasons? :(

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Awww thank you so much for the prayers.

MishaJeff and I have the same fate. I really don't know if its because we undergo treatment for TB. People I know that taken that too got AP on their interview not the same with me and MishaJeff that got approved. They stucked on AP for 2 weeks or so only then they received their visa. I'm praying that MishaJeff and I have the same case like them. It's been a week since my interview so I'm praying soon. But I don't want my hopes too high but wait for the next step. Thank you again, @@mirpeArl...

Be patient, all files get a second review before issuing the visa so they all show AP for a short time before the visa is issued.

Embassy states it can take up to 2 weeks from issuance for a visa to be delivered. Relax. :)

Hi Hank, here we go again.. Non stop delay. Hehehe. Yes, I will wait more. We are almost there anyway. I really hope and pray its just few weeks or 2 weeks. One week down.

Thank you so much for saying that. Thank you also for giving me support about my NSO BC. <hugs>

It is probably step to complete processing.

Our interview was July 23. The visa status was changed to "case created" on August 5. On August 12, the status changed to 'Administrative processing". The visa was issued August 13.

It was two weeks for my wife's visa to be delivered. Waiting can be too much fun for sure.

You are funny. Ok, seem like it takes 2 weeks. I wasn't sure if its because I had DOT that's why they are holding me, so its random. Thanks, Hank.

Wow two weeks for you. I really hope mine will be that too. Our status is AP still. I was interviewed last August 5. Were down to one week so I keep looking if this will change next week. Thank you Monel.
