When my fiance who lives overseas fills out the G325-A form, can she send me a copy of the form?

Because it says on the guide that "All Forms that you submit must be originals with original signatures". So i was wondering, what would happen if she prints it, signs it, copies it and then sends it? would it be ok? how would i obtain the original if not?

Also I have many people telling me to do the K-1 Visa because it is faster and I have the choice of doing either K-1 or Cr-1 because of my circumstance. Under Islamic law I am technically married amongst my family members because it is required for me to have a nikah in order to be able to talk with my fiance or now considered in my eyes, wife. How would the government know I am married or not? It is in Saudi Arabia and it is not documented meaning I don't have an official marriage certificate under the state of Saudi Arabia or the consulate or embassy of Saudi Arabia. So I dont know what route to take on this? any advice is appreciated.

You answered your own question.

When I file for my k-1 Visa, my significant other and I will have to fill out and sign the g325 form. She lives overseas and I heard that the form must be in original form. Will we be able to have her print it, sign it, scan it, and send it through email? will this work? same goes to the letter of intent. How did you guys do it? If she has to send it through mail, that would take a long time. And would I be able to sign it for her?

You asked this same question in another topic, you won't get new improved answers by starting a new topic.

ORIGINALS means ORIGINALS

Could I sign it for her with her permission with ink? the G325 A form. Because sending it in mail will take a long time. Nobody answered my question though, could i go ahead with the K1 visa?

Email her the letter (use the one on this website), have her print it and sign it and mail it back to you with original signature. That is what I did and we did not have any issues. The process is long so the faster you get it the better.

How would a written authorization look like? Just a paper saying I authorize so and so to sign this paper?

Forget all this. Just have her mail it to you (snail mail). It takes like 3 days with DHL. I got mine in 3 days and that is not a long time. As for your visa situation go, If your nikah is done then you should apply for CR1 (marriage visa) not k1 (fiance visa). I know there is no paper work and no one can tell that you are married etc etc. But remember this, if they find out about your nikkah by any means (through asking your fiance's neighbors or looking through your pics or any other means) then they will not issue K1. If you were in saudia arabia when Nikkah took place then just go ahead and apply for CR1 and if you were not there meaning you did phone nikah or had wakeel then just visit her and then apply for CR1 visa. As for your paper work, you are spending a whole day trying to find out if you can use scan copy, have her mail you and it will be here either by Friday or Monday. GOOD LUCK!!

Another fellow vj'er advised me of limited power of attorney. Can anyone elaborate on this a little more? I know its a written authorization but how should it be done?

Do it the right way with her orignal signature please! DO not try other routes.. GEt it expressed mailed to you and you will get the package in less than 5 days.. Its completly worth the wait. You are from MENA countries which have higher chance of AP! I highly recommend taking every piece of document seriously and taking your time submitting it. Don't rush! If you rush, it will end up RFE or more problems!! Good Luck!

the question about whether or not it needs to be an original signature is answered here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/220499-k-1-petition-information/

It states:

"G-325a, Signed or Unsigned? Unsigned.

WHAT? Ok I have seen the memo but lots of VJ members got RFEs for unsigned G-325s, what gives? They do not have to be signed, they can be signed at the consualte interview. Some adjusicators haven't read all the memos, we get hundreds of the things, and maybe they make a mistake. If you want to be sure there is no mistake, sign it. Or send a letter expalining why it is not signed and request it be signed at the interview. Do you have that memo?"

I had my fiancee send me an original signature through FedEx, I got it in about 3 days and it cost $20. I had her send me all the documents that I needed her signature on at once to save money. I emailed her the forms already filled out and she printed them and signed them and then sent them to me.

As far as the K1 vs CR1 I don't have an answer. There will be an interview at the embassy in your country so if you are legally married by your countries standards, which I assume they will knoe at the embassy in your country, then you cannot use the K1.

completly agreed! Nikah is legal marriage! YOu didnt signed any documents for Nikah ?? i would even get your marriage legalized in Saudi before applying! CR1 is the route! Allhumdullilah in 6 month, we already have an interview date. Also, look into cost of applying for VIsa. you will save tons by going into CR1 route than K1

Thanks for pointing it out. Get your nikah paperwork as soon as possible and back date it to the time when you were there to do the nikah otherwise you will have to take another trip.

Yes, it should always be the original form with her signature... You have to send it to her via mail...It takes time, but that's what everybody has to do...

She should print the forms and write the letter and mail the originals to you.

Cannot fax or email forms. MUST BE ORIGINAL WITH ORIGINAL SIGNATURE. I would never try signing on behalf of my spouse or fiance. You are only asking for trouble. If discovered you could be accused of VISA FRAUD, is it worth it? You fiance or spouse could be banned from ever entering the US period.

P.S. Have her sign extra copies of each and every form you will be submitting on her behalf. I am assuming you are her assigned representative? This way if the first one you send in has an error it can be corrected on an already signed form and sent in by you, the authorized rep.

Good luck....it's best to be patient and wait for the ORIGINAL FORMS

Aloha Ke Akua
