They could have just frozen the PD at OCT 8, 2011 instead of putting CURRENT. Now, tourist visa holders using it to adjust status is just annoying, jumping ahead of those who are helplessly waiting.

Don't worry. You'll get I/L last week of August (or at most first week of Sept). yes.gif

Maybe. But during the interview, Visa is not available. History repeat itself. LOL. Thats what happen last time (year December 2010 / January 2011). Hopefully they will not give I/L if Visa is not available. That's better. For us to save money and time.

F2A (CSC)

Oct 31 2011 - Priority Date

Nov 1 2011 - Notice of Action 1 (NOA1)

June 5, 2013 - Notice of Action 2 (NOA2)

June 10, 2013 - NVC Received

June 21, 2013 - Assigned Case Number

June 23, 2013 - Paid AOS & IV Bill

June 26, 2013 - Send AOS & IV packets (w/out police clearance)

July 1, 2013 - Send Police Clearance.

July 10, 2013 - Documents Received for Reviewing at NVC.

July 22, 2013 - NVC Send another checlist for my Police clearance.

July 23, 2013 - Send Police Clearance with new cover sheet.

*** dont send police clearance separately to avoid delays***

July 26, 2013 - Case Completed

August 26, 2013 - IL Received

October 24, 2013 - Interview Date

October 24, 2013 - Visa Approved

Maybe. But during the interview, Visa is not available. History repeat itself. LOL. Thats what happen last time (year December 2010 / January 2011). Hopefully they will not give I/L if Visa is not available. That's better. For us to save money and time.

Retro is inevitable and is already bound to happen in the Oct VB so if you receive an I/L then surely the cut-off date is beyond your priority date.

F2A will no longer be "C" in the Oct and Nov VB.

its all rubbish pd is current bla bla :@

our case got completed on 16 july 2013 and pd is 16 june 2011 and still no IL :/

HI there! I just want to ask, I have a little idea about the F2a petition to be current. My sis-in-law have filed already the petition and it was approved. Priority date is MAy 2012, We are on the NVC stage already, We paid the AOS fee but we haven't sent the ds3032 yet. We can't send the AOS package for some reasons, will we be affected by the retrogression issue on October? I will really appreciate your replies...

Because her husband is working as a seaman, his ship does not have any internet access so he cannot email the NVC yet...

It is my understanding that our only option to be able to take advantage of the fact that the F2A category is set to Current is to get through the interview before retrogression. Otherwise, if retrogression takes place to a date earlier than your PD before the interview, then that means that by the time of the interview, a visa number will no longer be available; and therefore, even if your visa petition is accepted at the interview, you wouldn't get the stamp on your passport until your PD becomes current again. Although I could be wrong.

According to NVC website, "This cut-off is unlikely to have any negative impact on those who have already initiated action on their case prior to the announcement of the October cut-off dates."

Based on my understanding, once the cut off dates will be imposed this October, those applications who are already in NVC for process will not be affected by this cut off only those who are still in service center.

I'm hoping that this will happen if they will retro in October.
