Priority Date Current - Interview Date

Hello VJ'ers,

Priority Date: 16 Jan 2006

Case Completion: Mar 2013

Interview Date: Waiting

Visa Bulletin is currently available for Sep 13 and my family cases are current. For Sep 13 Priority Date goes to 15 Feb 2006. Does anyone know how long does it usually take to receive an interview date once the Priority Date becomes 'Current'?

I forgot to mention that the cases were completed at NVC back in March 2013 - All documents completed and accepted and fees paid.

NVC started sending out interview letters (via email) last week of July up to first week of August for the September interviews.

You didn't get anything?

Not yet, I believe it may be due to the fact that the cases will become current in September. So we expect something in September. I called today and NVC stated that they do not have the cases available yet for those becoming current in September.

you should have received your I/L by now since cut-off dates are in feb2006 and your pd is jan2006 and case is current, unless you're from mexico or the philippines.

did u ask NVC why u haven't received your I/L yet? i wonder why..?

F2A is the only category that is current. Not F2B. I think its the US Embassy in your country who are having problems that's why they are not scheduling interviews.

Petitioner called and I called today, they said to check early September, no dates available yet. I think Apple21 is correct, the US Embassy in the Dominican Republic may be backlogged.

Hoping to hear something positive in early September since my family cases meet the cutt off date for September.

Hi Jeshpatel,

All documents started coming in late January this year, by early March the cases (three + derivative) were completed.

It looks like the VB is moving forward. I hope it does not retrogress. I'd suggest your sponsor to call NVC to ask for a status update and see if they can start sending those forms. We used to call every month, just for GP.

La Categoria de F2A visas estan vigentes, asi que ya estabas supuesta a ver recibido la cita. Llamen a NVC a ver que novedades tienen. La cita llego 27 Agosto para la entrevista en Octubre.

F2A category is current at this time, since your case was completed in July, you should've received the I/L (Inteview Letter). Call NVC to find out if they have any news. We received ours for October (F2B - cases completed back in March this year - but because the Visa Bulleting was not current at the time for our priority dates, we had not received our appointment). Our cases cut off dates became current for September (and hopefully the cut off date stays current for the coming months) and the I/L came in Aug 27 for the Interview in October.

Call NVC, they can tell you if your country is busy scheduling interview or backlogged.
