I got a letter saying I have an interview for my green card on the 18th of December, only thing it said to bring other than proof of living together/being in a relationship was to bring an affidavit of support plus all supporting documents. Do you really have to bring another one again after supplying one with your original AOS package?

AOS+EAD Sent 8-9-13

AOS+EAD Received 8-13-13

EAD NOA1 8-13-13

AOS NOA1 8-15-13

AOS+EAD Biometrics 9-17-2013, Walk-In 8-29-2013

EAD Approved 10-15-13

AOS Interview 12-18-13

Doesn't it say anywhere in brackets "unless already submitted"?

It is not where I breathe but where I love that I live.

Congrats to all those who's had a smooth ride with their AoS application. Yesterday was 4 months since my NOA1 and absolutely no news about my green card :( Only silence. Based on local office stats I expect few more months of waiting <sigh>

I had my green card interview today, everything was fine on my part and nothing preventing me being approved.... But, guess what! The geniuses lost my medical report somewhere!? Typical government incompetence, expecting everything from us and literally providing nothing in return, they are so poorly organised that it was to much effort for someone to actually view my file and see the medical was missing before they called me in for an interview, but instead they find something so significant is missing on the day, great! Oh well, thankfully they said other than the missing file the case is approved. Other than that interview was ridiculously simple, got asked what my name was and if I was a terrorist, they looked at two items out of the tonne of documents I bought in and that was it, was out of there before my actual scheduled interview time even came around.

So my mailman is an idiot. He delivered our interview appointment notice (sent on 12/26/13) to apartment LA and I live in apartment 1A. Unfortunately, the tenant in LA lost the key to his mailbox and he just gave us the notice yesterday when he found his key. Our interview is TOMORROW! Thank God he opened his freakin' mailbox yesterday!

We are scrambling to get everything ready right now!

Oh yeah? Your mailman is an idiot? How about a USCIS employee who put my residential address instead of my mailing address on the letter with my Green Card? Post Office flagged it as undeliverable and returned it the very same day (a Saturday)! I didn't even have a chance to intervene! Why on earth would that moron do it I have no clue! All the previous correspondence from USCIS always came to our PO Box no problem at all. So why somebody did it when it came to delivering my GC it puzzles me completely :/ It's been almost a month since it was approved. I did service request exactly a week ago and still waiting :/

How about the USCIS Idiot that sent my immigration file to one USCIS local office and separated my medical file and sent it to another office, then has managed to spell my name differently and incorrectly on every single letter received to date. I wonder who's running their department? Sounds like a bunch of monkeys.

Hi,

I am a Aug 2013 AOS filer under F2A. I got my GC in 2012 and filed for my wife and daughter in Aug' 2013. Everything went very smooth like we got Bio metrics, EAD with AP and also had interview on Nov' 7th. But at the interview the IO said that they haven't received I 130 receipt and will approve once they received it. I got their I 130 approved by CSC on Aug 15 2013 and my receipt date was Aug 13 2013. I couldn't attached the original I 797 at the time of filing, but I did send the copies once I received. Just imagine, it's been so long since Nov 7 and no progress t all, still my case is showing Testing & Interview, isn't it crazy?

Is anyone else on the same situation? I called USCIS and heard that my local office is still processing and my case is with in the processing time. What should I do now other than waiting?

Please advise.

Hey all,

I filed in late August and we finally received the green card yesterday. :D

We had so many problems with the EAD, as they mailed it to the wrong address by mistyping the zip code. 4 months of calling USCIS and filing cases and nothing happened. We didn't have an interview for the GC and thankfully it arrived safely! I definitely didn't think I'd get the GC before EAD, but I'm just glad it's done!
