I got my green card in the mail on Friday 11th April without an interview. Just checked my case status and saw it's been updated. Call USCIS, they should be able to give you a more accurate update on your case status than the website

I didn't see a new thread for August 2013 AOS Filers so thought to start off...... I just mailed out my AOS+EAD+AP package yesterday! Hope to receive the receipts by next week.

i feel so lucky to have gotten my green card after 3 months, now i am working and going to college. :) got my ged in December 2013. We are finally heading in the right direction

2013-08-12 (Day 1 ) - Sent my Aos package for work permit and green Card

2013-08-20 (DAY 8) Noa1 received via Text around 11pm, next day was email. Received my case numbers

2013-08-23 (Day 11)- received hard copy in mail for Noa1 gc , Work permit

2013-08-30 (Day 18) Received Biometrics appointment letter in the mail.

2013-09-17 (Day 25) biometrics appointment day @2pm Detriot

2013-09-25 (Day 33) received text and email , I485 changed to testing and interview

2013-10-02 (Day 40) received text message and email @7am about my interview date

2013-10-04 (Day 42) Received hard copy interview letter in the mail

2013-10-10 (Day 48) Work permit Card in production

2013-10-16 (Day 54) 2nd Text and email @830am Work permit in Production

2013-10-21 (Day 59) text/email notice 10am . Work Permit sent

2013-10-21(Day 59)Text/ email @9pm received text with tracking number -2 day delievery

2013-10-24(Day 62) received my work permit in the mail.

2013-10-25 Filled for my Social Security number today

2013-11-05 (Day 74) Interview November 5th (1.40pm)...... APPROVED!! kicking.gif

2013-11-05(Day 74) Text and Email - Green card in Production @2.30pm

2013-11-05 (Day 74) Text and email @8.15pm Mailed notice that i am a registered permanent resident

2013-11-07 (Day 76) 2nd Text and email @11.30am - green card in production

2013-11-09 (Day 78) Welcome letter received - WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

2013-11-12 (Day 81) - Received text and email - Green card sent @1.15pm

2013-11-12 (Day 81) @9pm received text and email - with UPS tracking number - For Green card

Any other August Fillers still waiting besides us? Two weeks until we're at the "Expected delay period of six months".

We were patiently waiting...until last Friday when we got a letter that our I-485 application has been denied! We got an RFE for an I-693 (medical examination), was told to submit it on or before May 13, 2014. I had it done, sent thru FedEx the sealed document from the US Civil Surgeon, and somebody in USCIS Chatsworth CA signed that it was received April 2, 2014. The letter we got last Friday said "However your service file shows that you failed to submit documents as requested by USCIS." It looks like our papers didn't get into the right hands (even if we addressed them to a certain officer, as the RFE letter instructed), or got in the bottom of the pile. It's frustrating.

Oh my goodness! I'm sure you can contest the denial in some fashion! Do you have evidence the package was received by their office... And are you going though an Immigration Lawyer?

The letter said we can file to re-open to reconsider the application. Yes, I have evidence (tracking email notification from FedEx, with the time of delivery and the person who received it). I still have the shipment receipt from FedEx, and a photocopy of the I-693 that the Civil Surgeon gave us. We are seriously considering going to an immigration lawyer.

My advise would be to seek support now that there has been a wrench thrown into the process for you guys which was not by a failure on your part. I wish you all the best of luck!

I just went to the USCIS website and to file a motion to reconsider an adverse decision (I-209B) -- costs a ridiculous $630! My husband and I feel it's unfair to pay such an amount when it wasn't an error on our part. Well let's see what the lawyer's advice will be (fingers crossed).
