HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what is going on but it has been 6 months since I submitted the I-130 for my husband in Bosnia and we have not heard a word.

I just called USCIS and they wanted to transfer me to level 2 but wait time is 64 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ridiculous. Hopefully they call me back.

Someone please advise if this is the time frame they experienced or what I should expect or anything because I don't know that I can do this much longer.........cray5ol.gif

we have been waiting for 4 months so far, my husband callled USCIS last week and on hold for 2 hours, then they called him back, they said its at NBC now and we have to wait around 9-11 months more.... so dont know what is going on....seems like its a challenge to test who is really patient :)) lol, but keep calling them to check it

I called on monday. They told me they literally have no estimate for the processing time. How a government agency can operate with this level of inefficiency is astounding. I wanted to talk to a teir two but I was on lunch break and I didn't have an hour to waste waiting on them. I was also informed the option of having an immigration officer call me has been discontinued as of august 10th, you are forced to wait now if you want a tier 2.

What are your choices? Wait, divorce, live separately forever or move to Bosnia. I hope you make the best choice for yourself. Good luck and Godspeed?

64 mins is actually a short wait time. People have waited for 3+ hours to speak to a tier 2. A tier 1 cannot help you with your case, a tier 2 can. You can find out where your case is exactly and put in a service request if it's been over 6 months. You can contact your congressman, senator and/or ombudsman.

Ozz777 said it perfectly,

you have a few options, wait, divorce, live separately, or move to the beneficiary's country. Such is life when immigration is involved! At least you're not approved and waiting YEARS in AP because of name checks. There's a bright side. smile.png

If you read other threads... Alot of people are reporting that they got a letter stating extended processing times. Also people are reporting being told that processing times are now 12 months when they call tier 2... I'm not saying I believe it.. I'm just suggesting that people read other threads.

My lawyer is pretty confident that the USCIS is on track with 6 months... but that is not what I am reading on this forum... The processing times are all over the place.

Obviously I would never divorce him. i love him morere than i love myself but that doesn't mean this is easy. I spoke with a level 2 and they were absolutely ridiculously rude and no help what so ever!!! I am disappointed in the way this is being handled .

Never losing hope!!! :)
