why skype anyway?

MSN messenger is cooler. I never liked skype. MSN messenger has it all on one thing. emails, offline messages, webcam , video calls, games, sending files, sharing folders, and now you can add yahoo users too. anything close to msn is yahoo. the rest is junk.

I always had issues with MSN...always! Not to mention I have way to many people on my MSN list so I was always interupted.

Skype was a way for Chris and I to have some "privacy" I guess. I could call his house or vice versa. Skype software has never had any issues. There have been many times the MSN wouldn't connect.

I love skype.

Anyhow, I know some other VoIP programs out there that are like Skype, or (so I was told) even better.

For me skype is the gold standard. Others may come close but their not skype.

True's that. Never use something else. But there are people who still have old computers and can't run Skype unless they turn everything else off. I can see that, I mean.... yes, Skype is somewhat of a CPU / RAM guzzler.

I have quite the 'advanced' computer (not all that, but still) and it has trouble playing some low-end games while using Skype.

Anyhow, just wanted to let people know that they don't have to resort to MSN /IF/ such a thing as the death of Skype would occur.
