We got our NOA2 on July 30,2013. We keep calling NVC but still no news. I guess they have a backlog of case approvals. The lady says it could take 8 weeks! That scared me! First we wait for approval (forever) and now for VISA date. I am starting to hate the whole process. It used to be faster couple of years back. But its very slow now.

We cant plan our life based on this. Life is at halt.

Since you are in K1 process embassy gives you an appointment date not NVC. NVC inputs your information in the systems and forward it to the embassy. So you just got approved not even two weeks yet give it some more time say like a month or so.
