I called USCIS to see where my NOA2 hard copy was since it has been over two weeks since our email approval. After being transferred to a tier 2 rep, he informed me that our case would be transferred to NVC within 30-90 days of the approval date. That's even longer than the 8 weeks being reported by NVC. I am so confused. Why can't they just ship them to NVC and generate a number? Is it really that hard? I guess I don't understand the whole process. I am praying we all get our cases settled quickly and that it does not take anywhere near 90 days from our approvals to do it.

I wish that USCIS would change the wording on the NOA2. It currently states that your approved petition "was sent....to the NVC" This is most definitely not true. It also says that NVC should have it within 30 days. Also not true. I waited 30 days and checked with NVC and they had not received it. I called USCIS and they told me they have up to 90 days. 90 days.....but the notice says 30 days ? No rational explanation given. I next contacted my US Senators office. They were extremely helpful ! After emailing them a "privacy release form" they got me an answer the very next day. My petition was sitting in the Chicago USCIS office and it should be to NVC within two weeks. Exactly two weeks later it was in the NVC system with case # and invoice #. So from approval date to NVC was 47 days. Would it have been quicker if I had contacted Senator's office sooner ? IDK. Would it have been longer if I had not contacted my Senator ? IDK, but I sure think that it did not hurt !
