I wonder how many of his illegal friends are using his Federal Way address on their false papers . . .

I was wondering how does the employer supported him with letter, since he (the employer) hired an illegal immigrant worker??? hmmm

My friends dad owns 5 properties and he has never had a visa or anything. he has been in the US for 22 years. My friend(his son) found out he was illigal alien when he wanted to enroll to a college, they didnt take him bc he had no visa. He always thought he was an american, he came into the states when he was 4. I was at that time going to a college on F-1 student visa. I had SSN but not valid for work. Anything i wanted to buy , i needed cash. no bank gave me credit card or no nothing. Well I asked his dad how i could buy a house bc my mom wanted to buy me a house in the US. He said put down 30k , any bank will give loan mortgage and all. Well i didnt buy a house but I bought a car in that way. I paid 50 % of the cars worth and they financed the rest with no co signer , no nothing. BUT 15.5 % interest lol

I believe if one is willing to pay high interest and have some cash in hand to put high down payment. illigal aliens can buy houses.

ITIN's are valid cards.. what's the problem with them? you can get a lot of stuff with ITIN's..

He would pay higher points and a higher rate, but its not all that uncommon for illegals to be able to get mortgages. There are mortgages for everyone these days, so it's possible he didn't have to show employment records of any kind. I didn't for the last house I bought because I do alot of work for myself and don't get traditional paystubs from an employer. There's no law against him owning the US property, though sometimes certain stipulations apply when he sells it.

Well it says that he showed a letter from his employer, which I find odd...that employer needs to be fined.

Oh! there was summat else I wanted to add....I just closed this house with a buyer who went thru a program thru a leading bank. The loan was not contingent on a credit score! I had never heard of summat like that before....and basically he was approved on a mortgage that was contingent on what his monthly rent was. He got a helluva rate too.

Maybe I am wrong... I did not think it was illegal for a foreign national to own property in the US. I think they are confusing his immigration status with his ability to own property....

No. Anyone can own property. The question is whether or not federally insured institutions should be LENDING money to EWI's.

I just find it amusing, that certain individuals will accept what this is saying (illegal aliens buying houses, etc) and at the SAME TIME insist that they are driving down the wages. How can BOTH be possible? If you're getting paid next to nothing, you're not buying a house. Sorry, but it can't be both ways.

Gee, and all this time we're told they make $2/hr picking berries.
yeah, and doing the jobs americans don't want

Yeah, that's what we're told anyways while in reality they're the cause for many of those jobs having deteriorated in pay and conditions to the point where nobody here legally can afford to work them. They're fueling the race to the bottom and then there are so-called middle class advocates who actually cheer them on. Bottom line: You cannot be pro middle class and pro illegal immigrants and the expect to be taken seriously.

You got that right.

Being a free market economy, if hiring illegal immigrants was actually 'illegal' and was actually enforced by heavy fines for employers, the employer would have to pay more to get an American to do the job. Therefore, more Americans would be willing to take up these jobs. I also think that this "they are doing the jobs Americans do not want to do" ####### is a bunch of BS as 40 million Americans are living in poverty. I bet many of them would take up these jobs if they where paid a fair wage..

This is up to the US government to enforce and for them to stop beating around the bush. So I hope the Democrats use their power to actually help the middle and lower class Americans, as illegal immigration is lowering both classes standard of living.

Edited by Infidel

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.
