Lost i-129F approval letter for AOS, will NVC letter work?

Hi, I'm trying to gather the documents for the AOS process and I realise that that is the one form we didn't scan a copy of and now can't find it. We have a copy from the NVC indicating that they received an approved petition, could that be used as an alternative? Thanks guys! :)

I've heard of this happening in the past and you have to request a new one I believe that is like an application and a fee which I believe the fee was outragous like $400 or something. I could be wrong, but that's why they stress so much on these forums NOT to lose your NOA2.

06-27-2013: Received Physical NOAs for AOS, EAD and AP

07-16-2013: Biometrics Appointment

07-29-2013: I-485 Ready for Interview to Be Scheduled!!! YAY!!!! (No EXTREMELY Long Wait!)

08-02-2013: Received Mail with Interview Date!

09-03-2013: Interview in Detroit, Michigan (APPROVED!)

09-04-2013: EAD/AP Approved! (Even though it no longer matters because GC was approved the day before)

09-09-2013: Green Card mailed out via USPS 2-Day Air

09-11-2013: Received 2 Year Conditional Green Card in the Mail

I can't edit my post for some reason, but yes I-824 needs to be filled out and its $405 fee to have that reprinted.

I guess in some cases they have accepted the NVC letter. You might want to make an Infopass Appointment and show them the I-94 and K1 visa in your passport and they might be able to print something up for you. No guarantees on this, but to save yourself some money might be worth a shot. Good luck.

For what I know you need to request a new NoA2 but it's expensive, around 400-450$. Its insane paying that amount of money for a piece of paper. The other thing I was thinking (this is not a professional advice, just me). If you put you case number on the USCIS, you can still find your status for the i129, even after months. Mine still appears and I filed 2 years ago. Maybe you can call and ask if this enough or you need to request a new noa2. Call and ask!
