Question, once it is shipped to Tokyo, then is this Status link no longer any good, or will it continue to tell you the status of the petition once it gets to Tokyo.

I checked my case online today and it said " Ready" and I dont know what it meant . That is what they described as below :

Case Created : Date

Status Updated: Date

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state..../info_3731.html

I assume that Embassy has received the package and ready to send out Package 3 , 4 for interview.

Here is the way to check if the Embassy has received your file.

This does not tell you that is your file but you know the date of your file has been shipped ( from NVC or the date of CEAC visa check with In Transit status), then you are pretty sure that tracking is your file.

Shipper's Reference : EXP 09 AUG 2013A ( EXP is express ( maybe) that is 08/09/2013)

Date range for shipment From is the same as above

Date range for shipment To is the date of the day you want to check

Account number: leave it empty

Yes, it happened exactly that way. NVC took my case number said sometimes it will take 8 weeks. That is all the info they gave me. So today i called the DOS recommended by a VJ follower here and they gave me the information right away. Said they received my petition, gave me my case number without even asking me, and said either tomorrow or Thursday it will be shipped to the consulate in Tokyo. They were very polite here.

mine approved july 29, shipped at NVC july 30 and arrived aug 5 nvc then got the case aug 13

Let me know how it goes my I-130 was approved August 2 I've tired both NVC and DOS today still no file there yet I have paperwork ready to go my wife is vistiting family in southern Philippines she wants to go back to Manila and get some of this stuff done but on hold until I get a case number so I can pay after waiting 8.5 months for the I-130 I want to get this moving and wrapped up

My application was approved on July 12 and it's still not transfer to the NVC yet. DOS Visa Unit has no wait time. USCIS has the worst customer "service" - they're contractors and often have no clues, and start reading form I-129F instruction like a robot. NVC phone lines always busy, and not much of a help, either.

You should call USCIS again to check if your file has been shipped to NVC yet. Based on your timeline, your approval had been 30 days and no transfering to TSC. NVC should receive your file if there was nothing wrong. I got approved on July 23 at VSC and NVC received my case on August 8. Keep calling USCIS to talk to Tier 2 until you know where your file is.

I have a question

Got my NVC case # 8-13-14 and the next day the invoice VIA phone both.

Yesterday I log in at NVC to pay the bill, it said not invoice yet

today I try to log in again, and i can't log in anymore.. what does it mean?

I haven't receive any email either ..

I read some timeline that I can send the Ds-3032 choice of agent tru email.. is that allow?

USCIS 1-800-375-5283 . Dont press 1 for English and just wait until you hear human voice. That is Tier 1 and you want to ask them to talk with Tier 2.

DOS 202-663-1225. Press 1 then 0.
