Hello fellows...My wife earns 33,240USD annually...Is that not enough for household size of 2?i have an RFE stating the income is insufficient so i should shoe proofs or assets to supplement the income or get a joint sponsor? Is this right? Did i made a mistake on my I-864 forms that might have increased my Household size?

PLS help me out

A household size of 2 requires $19,387. It's possible you made a mistake on household size, yeah. What did you put down?

First, the USC is the one filling out this form, not you, she needs to sign it! If you just made a mistake she can send in a new I-164.

Yes, it is.

There's some confusion about the status of the OP, since he is in the K1 forum but is referring to his wife.

If your tax forms were not complete, with all the schedules, W2s, 1099s, everything, then it will not be sufficient.

You only get one chance to get this right, or they will deny your application, so be sure you have the right stuff. A tax transcript will work, and you also need proof of current employment.

Hi...The website you have provided was very helpful :) my husband was inactive duty (US Navy) for 3 years and was deployed recently this year..Since itr from previous years are required, i dont think his earnings back then is sufficient, we might need a joint sponsor.right? We are just thinking about it, though its still a long journey ahead of us while waiting for NO2..thanks :)

Did you apply using form I864 because that's what you need to file with. Your wife is making enough money for you and her. Send a new form I864 make sure you fill out right and send W2's, pay stubs, letter from employer if you can. That's all. You don't have only one shot, if it's not enough they will send you another RFE. I was in the same exact situation before as you and I got 2 RFEs (first one was because the I864 was filled by the lawyer and he messed up, I fired him, Second was for I864 telling me that my father in law didn't make enough and I had to find a joint sponsor) you are not exactly like me but we are 90% in the same situation. So don't get to scared. Right a letter to explain that it's only you and your wife in the household. Good luck.

This is incorrect. You need more than what you listed as "that's all." (more than W2s pay stubs, and letter from employer). And the adjudicator does have the right to simply deny your case if you improperly respond to a RFE. You got lucky that you got a third chance.
