His interview was oct 30th, his status on CEAC was updated to "issued" on monday (nov 4th), and the visa is going to be going to a drop box in Edinburgh... any idea of when we can expect to hear from the courier service?

After reading Matt's post a few pages ago, I attempted to make arrangements to pick up my passport from the Embassy instead of using the courier service, as my flight is in three days.

I was not permitted to do so, although I will certainly try again tomorrow.

(Also, the lady on the phone quite heavily implied that Matt was a big stinky liar-pants. Pleasant!)

And now that I have rescheduled my flight for next week, at a cost of £286, my visa is issued in time for me to make my flight tomorrow. Had they allowed me to pick it up.

So, that's a full month extra that I've been away from my fiancee and children purely due to the embassy's administrative failures.

I'm sorry to hear about that. :( I think ours to a little longer to be issued/courier'd than others have. Steven picked it up at Bridgend (which was tricky to find, they said it's somewhat on purpose! :D ) I have the info in my signature. Now he's finalizing his packing, wrapping up work, and will be over in a couple of weeks.

Here's to hoping! We had our interview on Nov 26th and were approved. Nov 27th the case was update/created. Nov 29th it officially said "issued." We are currently waiting on the visa/passport. We have not received an email or notice from the embassy saying that it's been sent out. We called the courier service just to be safe...nothing. Got a hold of the embassy (miraculously) today and they said to check with the courier service...which was quite pointless as it apparently has not left the embassy. However...several people who had an interview on Dec 2nd...now have the package in hand. Feeling a bit discouraged...anyone else still waiting?

Though I'm obviously not expecting it to be here for another 2 weeks yet, my case has been recreated as a NIV case with creation and updated dates as of today. So hopefully it'll move into AP within the next 24 hours, Issued within the next 72.

That is very strange. I would recommend emailing the Embassy, though the link seems to be broken at the moment. The other option could be to call the DOS. As for us, we've barely had our CEAC status changed to "Issued" as of today, even though our interview was Nov. 25. Took a little while ClockWatch2.gifdry.png

Maybe those that were interviewed during the holiday week got pushed into the stack to be sent off but the piles of the next week covered it? Haha. Here's to hoping someone finds them.

Updated to Issued as of the 12th. Now just waiting for the email from the online system to say it's in the courier's hands.
