Still nothing guys...been in AP since August 6th...it was originally classified as a nonimmigrant visa, then changed to immigrant, and then just last Wednesday changed back to nonimmigrant and the case creation date changed to that day. But still in AP

Today on 21 September , Saturday case status has changed from READY to ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING.

I thought embassy remains close on Saturdays and Sundays.

I hope AP would end soon.

CO told us at the time of interview that your case has been approved , and you will get your visa within 7-10 days.

is this normal process ?

this time is stressful, but I am not hopeless.

You're better off asking in the Asia: South forum than the UK forum. The procedure in Islamabad is not the same as London due to varying fraud levels.

I can't believe you're still waiting!!! I've been waiting pretty much the same time for a interview but I should think you are even more anxious than me ! What have the embassy said to u ?

Yeah I did mean for entry into the US lol sorry should have made that clearer! Okay that makes sense!

I took it as the immigration queue outside the embassy. I have heard that some people are told to go through the US line and others the visitors line. My fiance is just planning to ask someone at the queue as to which line to get in and if they tell her she can queue on the US side she will and if not she'll just get on the visitors side as normal. in the end she's going to secondary screening no matter what, so I'm not sure it really is going to change the amount of time to get through. Hopefully we'll know one way or the other in a few weeks

HUGE envelope and passport got back today. Take my advice and opt for the before 10AM DX service rather than just waiting out, the suspense was killing me today. I also told them when I was travelling on the day of the interview which might have helped it get sent back to me quicker. But yeah, all done! Now to deal with POE stuff on Saturday and it's all over~ (until that great debate of naturalisation vs. greencard renewal kicks in, lol).

Had our interview on the 18th, our status changed to Issued on the 19th. We received an email today saying that we're able to track our passport and did so and found out its due to delivery tomorrow *fingers crossed*

Hmmmm I was feeling rather alright with the timing of things until this. I'm very happy for you that you should be getting yours tomorrow and hope all goes well, but since my fiance had her interview the day before you and her status change to issued the day before yours, I'm wondering why she hasn't got an email yet. Hopefully your visa comes tomorrow and our email as well.

It takes about 5 days for them to respond but they do and they seem to be able to answer your questions a lot better, in my experience anyway.

Tracey&Greg it will arrive I guarantee it! So exciting I decided to go collect mine and it took me 30minutes just to find the door for collections!! I highly recommend having it delivered.

where did you get the option to ask for a before 10:00 service? I do not recall seeing that, just the depot delivery or home delivery for the extra $30.

On the form I had to fill out at the embassy there was a checkbox section with several delivery options, one of which was before 10AM.

Yeah, it seems with all the screwups with the online system they've gone back to having a courier desk in the embassy as a backup. Not the same place as before apparently but it's there and you get more options than you do with the online system.
