Recent interviewees - do you have your passport yet??

Hey dose anyone know the average time from ceac updating my status to issued will I be able to pick up my visa? I live in London so it doesn't have to travel very far for me I don't know if that's a big factor in the timing of receiving it.

It varies for everyone...here is mine:

Interview: 10-Sept-2013

Our status update and case creation date changed on 12-Sept-2013 to ‘READY’

Next was ‘AP’ from 12-Sept-2013 until 16-Sept-2013

Finally ‘ISSUED’ on 16-Sept-2013

Got an email with a tracking number on 18-Sept-2013

Picked up at nearest depot 19-Sept-2013 and have it in hand!

Actually I was just getting to sleep not long before you posted this

The verdict is (not unexpectedly of course) APPROVED!!! She said it went amazingly smooth. She arrived around 7:15 and said there was only a few people milling around sort of queued and then went in about 20 minutes later and was done, out of the embassy and messaging me by 9:08. Of course with the news, I was to amped up to sleep. I tried, but it took me a few hours. I got about 4 hours sleep though, and funnily enough, I'm still so excited that I'm not really that tired. I am sure I'll sleep MUCH better tonight.

Now for the fun process of waiting for that visa delivery.

I know what u mean it's not over till she's out of the way of immigration! On that note; do we queue in a different line to get through immigration or is it the same line?

Hi all, picked up my visa this morning!

It was 'issued' on CEAC 16th sept and was ready for pick up today onwards.

Today is going to be a good day, I never thought I would be so happy to see my passport!

Hey everybody, so I know I mentioned yesterday our case creation date changed to yesterday, and now I've noticed our visa changed to a nonimmigrant one on CEAC however we are still in administrative processing? Is this a good sign?

Rachel - I can't believe you are still waiting. I'm so sorry. So was yours being processed incorrectly and that's why it was taking so long? I don't remember ours having to change from immigrant to non-immigrant...and our AP was only a few hours until issued. Keeping my fingers crossed yours changes to issued soon.

Thank you so much. Yes, things are progressing right on what seems to be a proper schedule according to how it has for the folks who have been getting their visas in a timely fashion and without issue.

on the ceac website we got a new creation date the day of the interview (Tuesday) then it went to AP on Wednesday and today (Thursday) it went to issued. I figure we should have the visa in hand next week, which fits perfectly into the plan to have her here, in the US by October 8th.

Hopefully they are starting to get the kinks out of the new system and more people will start to get a smoother experience.

No they still haven't told us what the hold up is. We have had no information besides its processing. yes seriously hoping to hear something soon, because if we don't hear by next week we will have to cancel our wedding I wa wondering, do you think there's any way the embassy will give my fiancé his passport and stop processing just so he can travel? We're desperate now just for him to make this wedding even if it's a non legal ceremony.

My fiance had his interview yesterday and our status is updated today to "Issued" hope we get his passport back soon.. big wedding day is coming around the corner

...though I'm getting that error on the DX courier site that states the tracking number/postcode combo doesn't exist. I'm assuming that means the courier doesn't have it yet. Sure hope it gets here next week, our plane's booked for the 28th :|

Although nothing seems standard anymore, the closest thing I can figure to standard for London right now is that people who have no problems, seem to get theri Visa 5-7 days after it switches to issued. I do believe I've read several times that the courier will email the applicant once they have the visa with the tracking number once they actually have the visa in their system. I'm not sure how consistent they are with that though

Probably a stupid question, as I probably just missed a tid bit of information along the way, but how can you track it if they send the tracking number via email and you didn't receive an email?

The tracking number was on the receipt they gave me at the embassy. I did think it was a little odd to give out a tracking number before they actually received it, but hey oh. And I still haven't gotten an email from DX yet, but I assume it'll be fine now that the info's updated on their site.

Oh I just noticed that you are Spousal, so it is likely slightly different from how the k-1 was done. That must explain why I'm feeling confused
