My fiancé and I don't know what to do. We've never heard of this "Check DS-260 status" as our status and my fiancé called the embassy and they said they can't help us. He sent an email but right now we don't know what to do. Is this instructions to fill out the DS-260 form because they have recently changed one of their forms to this one? We don't know who to contact or what to do but this is getting very close to our wedding.

I tell you what i would do Rachael, Look on google for "Check DS-260 status" and see what comes up about it then call the DoS and ask them to check your status of the case and if they mention anything about the ds-260 ask them what its all about. When is your wedding? The embassy in london is terrible at helping to do with anything,i think you would be wasting your time calling them..

I also think had there been a problem with your ds-260 they would have contacted you by now.

Still no passports sad.png Still hoping they may get here this week. I hope so. My belongings are being picked up for shipping on Wednesday and we are having a leaving party on Sunday, hopefully flying out Monday. The tracking number I put in for the passport still shows no record sad.png

Hey There,

I was wondering if you had any update on your status? I think we had our interviews on the same date (30th August), which was unfortunately right before the Public Holiday.

My status has been "Issued" for a few days, but I have heard nothing regarding delivery.

I am still holding out that I can make the flights I have booked for next week, but it is becoming less likely I think.

We got an update this afternoon. Just like it says on the Yatri system website on the "Couriers" page (the site where you pay the MRV fee and delivery fee), they automatically send you an e-mail with a tracking number on it with a link to the DX website so you can see when it's down to be delivered. We decided not to bother chasing it up and just let things sort themselves out as it does allocate 10 working days according to the Visa Appointment Service site. Ours is out for delivery tomorrow, and CEAC has been "Issued" since Monday.

The U.S. Department of State Consulate located in London has released document related to your Visa application for delivery by our courier.
The tracking number for the package is XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
You may track the progress of this shipment at www.thedx.co.uk/customerservice/trackinganitem/track-my-dx/
For a list of identification required to receive returned document(s), please refer to the information at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/information/courier
The data we have on file is:
Applicant Name: Emma ______________
Passport Number: ___________

Best regards,
The Yatri Visa Appointment and Information Service Team

So everyone who has paid the new way for home delivery should get a notice like this without having to do anything. Copy and paste your number over to the tracker on the DX site, and it'll tell you what the due delivery date is.

They just have too many ways of doing this at the moment and it seems that is a large part of everyone's delay.

I (along with many others) did not use the new system due to having paid the MRV fee on the old automated telephone line in Scotland. On the day of the interview I registered with DX Secure for delivery to my house. This cost less than the $30 that is required on the new system. I was given a tracking number on that day too.

It seems that a status of "ISSUED" is a bit ambiguous. From the telephone calls I have made to the DOS, the embassy in London and DX secure, nobody is able to tell me where my "ISSUED" visa is.

Not only that but their systems weren't working! I paid twice for home delivery, once online and once at the embassy. I got an email notification the other day saying that the courier was booked to pick up the paperwork from the embassy. Yesterday I called DX only to find my passports were at the depot and were not down for home delivery. I drove the ten miles to collect them, came home, booked flights and I leave on Monday 16th!!!!!!

Just out of interest, what ticket number were you at the embassy? I was I004

That is great news, congratulations!!!

Yes, I recall that the system was down in the early part of the day too! As of yet, I have not had any form of notification from DX secure that they have my passport. I am starting to wonder if maybe I should call them just in case they have screwed up and sent it to a depot.

I was I002!!!

Hey Chris, give DX call before it closes at 5.30 and ask if anything has been delivered. If not then it should come tomorrow. :)

I gave them a call and they checked both under my tracking number as well as my address and say that they have nothing to deliver.

I guess that means that my issued passport is just sitting on someone's desk at the moment sad.png

I think it means it's in the transition from getting from the Embassy to the courier service, they throw yours in with a whole bunch of others being delivered to the courier service and i bet it will be in tomorrow's. :) I think i would put money on it getting to the couriers tomorrow :P I'm so sure Chris, haha.

wow were you stood at that first reception just through the doors when we learned the computer system wasn't working and the woman eventually issued us with numbers by hand? I was the short lady with a teenage daughter with me.

If the courier still doesn't have your passports then try the embassy. explain you have flights booked and when for and see if they can help. I was asked at my interview when I was travelling. I said I hoped to go on 16th as my fiance's son was graduating that week from Army basic training. Maybe that helped speed my passport through. who knows? Good luck, hope you get it soon :)

Yes I was at the reception when they were having all of the problems. I do think I remember you from the day!! :)

Out of interest, what number / dept did you speak to at the consulate? I have called DX Secure and also the DOS, but neither offered any help. I was not sure who to call / ask for at the London embassy!?

Thanks

Chris

I just called the number and just asked for help. I asked the lady to not make me call anywhere else because I had been trying for weeks to get answers. She must have felt sorry for me because she did help :)
