Mesquite Rodeo promotes appearance by an Obama clown

The Mesquite Rodeo isn't shying from controversy this weekend by promoting the appearance of a rodeo clown wearing a mask of Barack Obama.

A similar appearance of a clown wearing an Obama mask at a Missouri State Fair rodeo with an announcer asking the crowd if people wanted to see "Obama run down by a bull" made national news earlier in August.

The performance got that rodeo clown fired and banned from the fair. It also triggered the resignation of the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association president.

In a post on its Facebook page, the Mesquite Rodeo said it has it "on good authority that the Obama Clown and other Presidential clowns will be making an appearance."

This weekend marks the conclusion of the rodeo season at the Mesquite Rodeo.

True. At least the vast majority people on VJ form decent arguments whether you agree with them or not.

I look at some of the comments people post at cnn.com or other websites. There's some really dumb ignorant people out there.

Comment sections on the internet are a freaking cesspool about 99% of the time. CNN is terrible. YouTube is about the worst humanity has to offer.

It makes me wonder if those people are a small vocal minority, or if that's how the majority of people really feel when they can hide behind an anonymous name.

I hope they're a vocal minority. It pains me to think that the majority think that way. Anonymity is a dangerous thing, I guess.
