Just a update on me ,today I received not one but two emails from the embassy, lucky me huh?.I had sent them an email last week saying it had been four weeks since sending my forms ,no interview date etc.since sending the email I had actually gave up on my first set of forms and sent another set on Thursday in fear the previous set had been hidden by the mail room evil fairies.so anyway today I received a email asking what date did I submit my forms.I replied telling them and wasn't expecting a response for at least 3 days.however two hours later I received a reply telling Me to be assured as soon as my forms have been registered ill be scheduled a interview date and that they understand that I plan to marry in November.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but you would think as its gone past the four weeks and my forms haven't been logged if they wasn't sure my forms had made it to them they would be suggesting to me to re send them.also I didn't mention in the email that I plan to marry in November.only on the forms did I state that.so it leads me to believe that maybe they have ny forms and are just not logging them yet due to not getting married til late November.

So, I just got a letter giving me my appointment date (letter dated 30 August, only received today). There was no update on CEAC. I had contacted them via the contact form on 27 August, telling them a) my new address and b) that I would be out of the country from 13-21st September so couldn't have an interview during that time.

Guess what? They a) sent the letter to my old address (luckily I have mail forwarding in place) and b) gave me an interview date next week, while I am out of the country.

Thanks a lot US embassy.

Does anyone know how to change the interview date with the new system? I think supposedly you should be able to do it on the AIS interface, but I can't work out how. This is what the FAQ says:

You can cancelled [sic] or reschedule appointments only if the appointment time is in the future. To cancel or reschedule an appointment you must sign-in, go to the "My Account" home page, and select either the "Cancel Appointment" or "Reschedule Appointment" links.

However there in no 'My account' home page when I log into AIS, and nowhere is my appointment date listed...

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks

This forum gave me hope!

I had my medical on September 31st and the medical was logged in. However the DS-230 / DS-2001 forms that were signed for at the embassy on the 16th of August haven't been logged.

It's pretty much been 4 weeks! What's worst is, on the 28th, they contacted me after an enquiry saying I should mail them the forms ASAP. I emailed back asking to confirm receipt, and they said they couldn't provide confirmation due to the high volume of emails !!

I called DoS several times until I finally emailed them on monday. No answer since then and no CEAC update. I am supposed to call DoS tomorrow although they are probably going to tell me that nothing has happened!

Any suggestions?

E-mail the embassy stating what date you sent them inform they were signed for .also it wouldn't hurt to re send them with a cover letter explaining why your sending them.it's exactly 5 weeks today since I sent my forms, although I re sent them once I made the four week Mark.good luck!!

Edit*** I've just noticed you're already married,so I don't know if there is any difference in the time scale or the process.but it really wouldn't hurt at all to re send the forms with either way

Hi everyone, i have my medical booked for tomorrow ..yippppeeee, now my question is.... you guessed it... How long are interviews after that date, can anyone who has done this recently let us know what their time frames were/ are. I saw the posts from August but I am hoping that a more to date look will bring us better information. Good luck to you all where ever you are in your journey. It is a long and testing road but the end result will be so amazing xxx

My medical was September 3rd, three weeks ago tomorrow and still no news on an interview date :( my forms that were signed for on August 21st were only logged on September 18th. Seems like they are not rushing things!

They say that your interview is scheduled usually 4 weeks after they receive your medical results but there can always be delays too(and no its not anything you did wrong so no worries) I just suggest after 4 weeks and you still don't get anything in the post try contacting the embassy, I found the best way is through the website and telling them detailed information about who you are, DOB, LND Number and when you had your medical and also when you sent your 3rd packet info in. This helps them find info about you and how far you in the process. It takes about a week to get a contact back too.

Hope this helps.

I had my medical on the 22nd August and as of yet have no interview date.... I received a CEAC update on the 12th September but have not received any mail yet so have no idea what that was!

I think my postman is going to be more relieved than me when I get my interview letter, I literally jump him as soon as he turns down my street every day.

Must. keep. waiting...
