I had a CEAC update yesterday and have just found out i have an interview date of Sept 24.

The timeline updates were thus:

7 Aug - medical completed

9 Aug - packet 3 received by Embassy (signed for)

13 Aug - medicals logged

16 Aug - packet 3 logged

27 Aug - Intervew scheduled

24 Sept - Interview

However! Last week on Thurs 22 Aug i emailed them via the Contact Form asking them for an interview in the week beginning Sept 9th as thats when our return tickets are currently booked to return for (we are in the US at the moment) and when my Fiance wanted to come with us to attend the interview, and because our wedding date was currently planned for 21 Sept. This seems to have gone unheard / unseen / ignored and I've not had a reply but its only been 4 business days. Is it worth, do you think, calling and trying to bring the appointment forward? Or should I just stick with what I've been given and change our plans around it.... It seems the Embassy can be helpful but I don't know if I've gotten the date I have because they never received my request for the earlier time or if they did get it and theres nothing earlier anyway...? I did also put on my packet 3 cover letter that our wedding date was planned for 21 Sept and this has been overlooked as well.

Our wedding date got overlooked too. I think this is a new thing - until this week, it seemed London commonly honoured people's wedding plans. I messaged them on Friday asking the same question and have tried and tried to get any news since but nothing. I wish they hadn't taken down that premium phone number because everyone I speak to now is so useless!

I think they really do try to accommodate wedding dates, but all of us have started to deal with the embassy at the worst time of the year. They will be dealing with thousands of student visas that have to be done by September when their school year starts.

It could be four more weeks before you get a date, then 3-4 more weeks before the appointment. Some go 2-3. One this summer went 7-8 weeks before getting an appointment. It is pretty unpredictable.

I had my medical on Friday 23rd and my forms were signed for today... I'm guessing I have a long wait to hear back from them :/

Unfortunately, you probably have a while to wait for an interview. :(

I think you are right - the Embassy said it's their busiest time of the year and now they are doing medicals on Saturday so they must be pretty backed up. Hope you get some good news soon. :)

Glad you got your interview date Kiwi -- I would try writing them though and see what they say. Someone heard back the next day by email and phone and was interviewed a day after that...worth a try, no?

My update

Medical - 5th August , ready for interview letter sent in at about the same time

Most recent CEAC update 19th August

Letter received today 29th August

Interview 1st October

I specifically didn't push them and even said would prefer early October so I've got 08:30 on the first day of the month. A rather literal view on my request then dancin5hr.gif

I have changed our plans and am going to go with the date I've been given. We're in the U.S. now so my kids could start school (they started last week) and they'll already have to miss a couple weeks to come back and have the interview and wait for our passports back, I can't really let them miss more school than that in the hopes of getting a cancellation or next day appt which might not happen. I'm just grateful to have an interview scheduled at this point and on the positive side it gives me more time here to try and plan a wedding (On the beach in Florida!) for mid-Oct now.

We have been caught every step of the way by delays, with case being transferred, (202 day wait for approval between NO1 and NO2!!!) payments and courier system changeover in London at the end of July, and the summer visa crush, I would just like one thing to go our way as its cost us thousands of pounds in additional airfares and other things and I'm thoroughly fed up.

I know things look bad with the delays at London at the moment but just be glad that your didn't submit your petition last summer. We had to wait 268 days for our NOA2! It took 11 months from NOA1 to POE.

We certainly got fed up earlier this year when nothing was coming out of CSC at all.

I'm so confused.I got a ceac update yesterday thinking it was the logging of my forms.but it was the fact the embassy responded to my email.I had another update today again thinking it was the logging of my forms .I just called dos and he told me that my last update was them emailing me yesterday.I told him ive got another update today and he said he couldn't see if so couldn't tell me .the only thing I can think of is I responded to their email this morning ,I however haven't received a response,so could my update really be that I emailed them ? :-/

I'd love that to be the case but as of yesterday dos were telling me my forms still hadn't been logged :(.my update yesterday was that they had emailed me to tell me this,.that's what dos tell me my update was anyway.however dos telling me today's update was me replying to their email and receiving a automated reply seems kind of senseless
