Hello Everyone!

I was curious about the filing timeline. My wife and I will be out of country (in Europe, to attend my cousin's wedding) for about 3 weeks. My conditional permanent residence expires on November 18, 2013... so I should be filing August 20, 2013.

However, my wife and I will be out of country from August 13 - September 5, 2013. Would it be safe for me to file on September 9? I wanted to include the pictures on this vacation since it is a large family event.

My wife is the US Citizen, and I am the conditional permanent residence.

The evidence I have right now is somewhat lacking in my opinion especially since we have not taken a lot of pictures and travelled as much as we have before we got married.

Finances:

- Joint Credit Card - Since September 2011

- Joint Savings and Checking Card - SInce April - 2013 - previously my personal account - we wanted to keep finances separate at first

- Tempurpedic Bed we purchased under my wife's name (in August 2011) but with payments coming from my personal bank account (which became a joint one)

- Payments towards credit card also came from my personal account (until it became joint)

- Joint tax returns for 2012, We don't have any from 2011 because of the difficulty to find employment and we were both students

- Documentation for school and 1 class we happened to take together

The reason for the limited joint finances is because we are both still students. Interestingly, we both took temporary positions at the jeweler we bought our wedding bands from, but my wife decided to leave the job to pursue her studies more. I'm still working there about 60-80% and going to school full time. The reason we do not have joint health insurance is because it is rather expensive to purchase it from the small company I work at with only one income. We are very fortunate that her parents are supporting our living while we go to school.

Affidavits:

- From a coworker and my wife's long time friend

Photographs:

- various events over the past couple of years

- 1 family trip with my wife and her parents

(I wanted to submit the documents later because we are visiting my side of the family in europe for my cousin's wedding and will have many photographs with them as well)

So in a nutshell, 2 questions:

1) Should I and is it okay to submit the package on September 9? (70 days before the expiration)

2) Is this adequate evidence? Or is there any other suggestions anyone has?

Thank you!!

Thank you!

I have that documentation as well with both my and my wife's drivers license.

Then you have a well evidenced application.

USCIS is looking for evidence of i) residing together (lease or sale deed or ...), ii) combined financial resources (joint bank accounts, beneficiary nomination of each other in your insurance, joint IRS Tax Transcripts, joint utilities or at least one utility in each name with same address,.. iii) joint estate, if any (a will or a trust,...) iv) 2 or 3 Affidavits from 3rd parties (even though a lot of applicants got approval without these, these are still good), v) A few photos and itineraries of trips made, if any.

I believe that if you taken care as stated above and have no issues with your finger prints, then you will receive your approval in 4 - 5 months.
