Hi all,

One friend of mine who owns a company in US is willing to help me and use his company and name to sponsor me to get a green card, now I'm not sure how this works nor does he, I did some researches and found the work visa but looking at the official page and I-140 form there are several choices and options to fill, now my friends says he can do anything to help but he does not have a specific job available for me to fill. I´m tech guy with several high level certifications. My question is, I have the company that is willing to help me but I don't have a specific job, can this be done in this way ? or can I submit a different type of request using my friend company ?

Thanks.

Do you have a degree?

Usually it works like they have a specific role to fill that they can show cannot be filled by an american. Tech work would likely be H1B which is a visa with a quota cap that runs out every year. You might want to look up what an employer has to do to give someone a H1B.

YOu need a job to go to, so unless your friend is willing to create a job that fits your qualifications, this is not going to work. Also, work visas cost $5000+ to get....

I do have a degree and I'm also have microsoft certiications, a scrum master and a pmp one so nothing of that works without really having a job to fill ?

Why would it ? The whole process is set up to bring somebody over because employer needs that person (and has to prove can't find anyone locally), not because that person just wants to immigrate...
