I have 3 tattoos on my arms, got them while in the Army way back. I was smart enough to get them on my upper shoulder and bicep area so I can easily cover them with a shirt. Meeting my wife's family for the firs time, it was brought up, but I assured them it was over 10 years ago and they are tasteful. My wife has a belly ring, says she went through that phase once she left the house on her own. She doesn't even show it out in public, just at home alone with me.

wait you were in the army ?

And then, he learned he didn't enjoy the great outdoors, instead preferring the company of other men in tight quarters while at sea.

As T-Bone would say Sea Men!

Yes, did 6 and a half years. Did my BT and AIT at Relaxin Jackson, first TOD was Fort Hood, then I was sent to Wurzburg Germany.

You know black folks can't stand camping. At least on the ship I get a bunk to myself and I don't have to worry about hotracking(at least I keep telling myself that).

I really hate you.rofl.gif

I was going to call him your BBFF but some people around here are awful particular about xtra B's. So Im not going to say it cause I'm a little afraid of them.

You think Marvin might be a little conflicted during the Army/Navy game?

How would you abbreviate CABA chick having a cow?

Actually that's more for subs, since women are allowed on ships. Now that women are allowed on subs, maybe we will see that change:)

I've brought it up before but usually in passing since it was a long time ago. I was trying to tell Gary that I've shot quite a few weapons and don't have the gun fever that some folks seem to be stricken with.

Women should not be deployed Disgraceful and awful for command and control

If I had it to do over I think coast guard would be my calling

I had to do boot camp twice, Army was all men, easy sailing. Navy had both men and women, it was a nightmare. I don't mind them on the ship, but inter-command relationships were rampant and it did cause quite a few problems.

Amazing after spending time in the Army and National Guard, I am not as enthusiastic as my non-serving friends as far as trying to see which gives out first, my shoulder, or my ammo supply. That doesn't go for all the vets I know, but probably around 90% are burned out on that whole getting drunk, tearing up a piece of wilderness, and sleeping on the cold ground thing with all the bugs and stuff crawling around. It was a lot more fun when Uncle Sam was feeding, outfitting, and paying you. Of course, Engineers had the best toys for destroying stuff, although the zoomies and alpha-hotels did a pretty good job as well.

Trust me, when I went though Navy boot camp with my Army ring on, it was interesting to say the least...
