I'm probably being over-cautious, but I just wanted to check that I have the right birth ceritifcate for the interview. This is not the original (it's dated 1999 - way after my birth) but I think it is an official copy and should be fine to take to the interview. Can anyone confirm?

PS: This is a photocopy I just made; I do have the real one :P

As long as it's an official, original one, it's fine. A lot of Brits have long versions that were made later than their birthday. When I was born, I got the short version, so I had to get a new long version in 2006 with a new job I started. So I'm in the same scenario. It's fine.
