After 3 long years, we can be together, finally. Even though my husband's interview was canceled due to the embassy shut downs that took place in over 20 countries, I can't believe he has visa.

My husband said that he couldn't believe it. At the interview he himself even asked the CO if there was any administrative processing and the CO answered that the interview cancellation was a long enough wait.

They told my husband that to pick up his visa on the 20th. But he said he got a call on his cell phone at 3:30 in the afternoon to pick up visa TOMORROW before embassy closing time. Sooo happy.

I still need to write interview review but haven't gotten the chance since I am taking a few things to our new place.

THank you VJers!!!!

I will definitely keep returning to learn about other's processes.

Love you all

Congratulations! I am soooo happpy for you!!!! This is wonderful news!!!!!

Donna

I am new to Visa Journey guys. My husband was scheuled for his interview on August 4th, but since it was closed it was canceled, nobody notified us. My husband even went to the embassy that day and they told him to wait to be rescheduled. And as of now its been a month we havent heard anything about being rescheduled. I have emailed them once a week at least, and they say they are waiting to reschedule, and one time they told me that they had scheduled him for August 12th again with no show but didnt notify us and I even had emailed them on August 4th asking for the rescheduling procedures. I am beyond frustrated. I just came back from Kabul. Spent 4.5 months there with him and was hoping I would return with him soon. I dont know what else to do cray5ol.gif

Also, for those who have been through their interview, can you let me know what questions they asked. And if you had to show additional proof of relationship, because on the initial interview letter I didnt see anything needed except the original marriage certificate (nikha khaat), and his tazkira.

Thanks,

Tina

Oh no thats not good news Laila. btw my husbands name is Jawad too smile.png Well hopefully he will get his interview soon, and then no waiting after the interview. Try to think positive. Thats what I keep on telling myself that after his interview inshallah no more wait! But what annoys me is he was given an interview date over a month ago but then they were closed, and now wait and wait. Hopefully he gets it right away. Let me know when you guys hear on an interview date as well!

Try sending a letter to your sentaor so they can contact them to speed up the process. I just did that few days ago, so we will see if perhaps it helps.

Salam Tina jaan,

I have sent letter to one of the senators for help and jam waiting now for their response. I contacted the congressman but wasn't helpful instead before helping his staff told me to wait another 2 months lol so when it's 6 months then they can look into my case. Anyways we will c what happens. I am so frustrated as ur and just tired of this wait hopefully and in sha Allah we all hear a goodness by the end of this year at least. My fiancé name is jawad too lol it's Mohammad jawad and one of other friend of mine that is waiting for her fiances visa her fiancé name is Mohammad lol. :) and she was rescheduled recently due to not seeing paperwork to her. I mean to her fiancé. Her name is Donna, and she s very sweet and helpful maybe uncanny ask her what happened after she was rescheduled. Her vj username is foxified66, good luck Janim n keep us all posted.
