I never thought of that either... I'm watching your case closely as we're also in a holding pattern and I can only suspect the I-129F has something to do with that.

Im sorry. I didn't mean to scare anyone :( I just wanted to justify my own fear I suppose. I just keep praying.

I see we have very similar dates. We'll see if you transfer before me around next week...because if you do...then I wont even expect mine for another month! ufffff

Transfer notices can come in the evenings too i think like approvals. If not, I think they will most likely get through 8/5/-8/12 ish next week.maybe 8/15-8/18 if we are lucky.

I disagree.

I noticed several -130 receipt numbers that are from 8/1 and 8/2 that are not done yet (including a few from July 30-July 31st).

I think the next batch will cover these AND everything to 8/6.

The one after that will hit 8/9.

It will take two turns to get to 8/9.

Then another to get to 8/12.

yes.

that is the "unintended consequence" of submitting the two instead of one.

less than 3% of i-129fs get approved.

VJers often advise people not to file the i-129f because of this unintended "marrying" of the two petitions.

So what do you suggest if I get a transfer before the paperwork for the expedite request? Should I leave it alone. Or continue with the exp req? Hmmm.

Well that actually makes me feel BETTER instead of worse. At least I can assume I wasn't just left in the dark.

I would STRONGLY go with the expedite.

They will take both petitions out and approve both and close the i-129f and you're off to the NVC.

Do you have the request ready ?

Turnaround is less than two weeks - as opposed to waiting to the end of the month to get the i-129 f approved.

Do you have an attorney for the case ?

No. We only paid an attorney a very small amount to help us with the paper work. Just told us abd gave us what to send and made sure everything was correct etc.
