Hi Chia&sean

Did they question you at POE? Did you visit on B1/B2 visa or VWP?

I am planning to visit early next month for 1 week...just want to be better prepared for the questioning at POE. Thanks!

Hey!it was very easy for me,the officer only asked how long I was staying in the US I replied for 2 months and that was it...but I had my return ticket, a letter from my employer saying I was on summer break(I'm a teacher)and that I was expected back for the beginning of the school year and my health insurance for the 2 months..I think it really depends on the officer..some ask more questions than others just make sure you have proofs with you to show you have to go back home!good luck!

Hi guys I'm an August filer also, the USPS confirmed us that they deliver our document to Chicago IL on 8/26 and received by USCIS, BUT there is no confirmation from or NOA1 from USCIS as of today 9/3 is this normal? How long it takes before we received NOA1? thanks

11/17/1998- Received first love letter from Bob (my husband now) we wrote love letters back and forth for almost 2years.

09/2/2000- First meeting in person.

09/26/2000- We got married.

01/2/2001- We both left for South Korea working at public school as an English Teacher.

08/20/2005- I came home to pursue my University Degree in Business at University of San Carlos Cebu City Philippines (USC)

10/25/2009- Got my Degree.

10/26/2009- Went back to South Korea working again.

06/12/2012- Bob officially retired.

06/14/2012- Bye bye South Korea, Welcome home Philippines.

06/22/2012- Bob and I officially owns our houses and lot in the Philippines.

08/24/2013- Sent spouse petition to USCIS.

09/26/2013- USPS notify us that our package has been received by the USCIS.

09/13/2013- Received NOA1 hard copy from USCIS.

09/13/2013- Patiently waiting for our NOA2.

12/3/ 2013 -transfered to NVC from USCIS

1/17/2014 - still no news from NVC

3/8/2014- NVC Invoice arrived paid the same day:)

They received mines 8/22 and got NOA1 notification 8/27 so it took them 5 days

We filed from France Aug 3rd, then recieved the NOA1 in the mail on Aug 16,

so 13 days with shipping both ways, not too bad. We never recieved the email from the g-1145 form.

Living in France since 04/04/2013

Married: 06/07/2013

11/17/1998- Received first love letter from Bob (my husband now) we wrote love letters back and forth for almost 2years.

09/2/2000- First meeting in person.

09/26/2000- We got married.

01/2/2001- We both left for South Korea working at public school as an English Teacher.

08/20/2005- I came home to pursue my University Degree in Business at University of San Carlos Cebu City Philippines (USC)

10/25/2009- Got my Degree.

10/26/2009- Went back to South Korea working again.

Patience is the name of the game. USCIS states that NOA1 hard copies are received within 2 weeks of petition acceptance. I would'nt get worried just yet. If you still haven't received anything in a month, then you should contact USCIS.

Your lawyer has no control over what USCIS does or any other government department for that matter. The waiting is still the same, whether you have filed by yourself or through a lawyer.

hi hi, we filed I130 on 8/12, package received by USCIS on 8/13...received text and email on 8/14 with an 8/13 PD..I can't remember exactly but I think we received NOA1 in the mail about 8/23...our application is being processed by the VSC
