That "blip" in the middle was the i-129F transfer for H1-B workers.

Thankfully that workload transfer wasn't permanent - it was a fraction of the grand total of i-129F petitions.

I am 100% confident we're gonna hit august before the week ends

Do u guys think my k-3 may slow down my process ? I don't see why it would because they aren't conjoined yet so idk I'm worried

I dont see why not... I don't know much about the K3, my lawyer told me it was not available so I didn't persue it.

I will be mega happy when August transfers start...

Oui

The reason is that they marry those two petitions together.

And the NVC will administratively close the K-3 because the K-3 will RARELY be ever adjudicated prior to the i-130.

Assuming your i-130 will and it most likely will get adjudicated first, I think (and I might be wrong), they supposedly do something with that i-129F/K-3

And after that something happens - they close the K-3 - and ship off the i-130 to the NVC.

The i-130 is more important and so CIS will never allocate resources to handle the i-129F/K-3 first.

I see from the July forum that they are up to the 30th now, strangely apart from the people from early mid july that didn't get a transfer. Why do you think they missed some?

Every application is unique.

There are times when background check and clerical paperwork for certain individuals might be delayed for one or many of the following reasons

- background search

- country of origin

- aliases

They are like sharks - they find something about you or your application that doesn't add up - they'll hold up the rest of the process.

And not tell you what's wrong.

Or they're bureaucrats and in a mad rush to make themselves look good, they ignored some people and left their files unattended in a backroom in Lee's Summit or OPark

I don't think its complicated, just tedious. At least by the time we are at NVC my husband will be done with his 2013 taxes so they can be sent along with the I-864.

As someone else mentioned, I will wait for the transfer to start gathering documents, mainly the 3 police certificates I need. Take around a month to have all 3 in my hands.
