MY PD is August 12th,2013.

I requested for expedite my case on Nov 29th, 2013.

It's been 45 days now.

I called them to get an answer but they told me to wait 6 months for the decision.

I involve my congressman in this issue.

They told my congressman that they are checking my background. n update me soon.

So they r telling two different things to me and my congressman.

6 months from when you called in November or recently? When did they tell you this?

6 months seems to be the standard BS answer!

6 months from the my expedite request date Nov 29th, 2013.

that mean I have to wait until may 2014 just for the update my case.

This is crazy...

you are super duper ..

Good Afternoon,

My name is FXXX BXXXX MXXXX I am 24 years old, I am a United States Citizen who has lived in the in the Bronx since 1992. I am originally from a small town of……. My family moved here in order to give us a better education and opportunities. After the war my parents made it a priority to go back home often in order to keep our culture alive within our daily lives. After the war I went several times and fell in love with my child hood family friend and now husband NXXXX MXXXXX. NXXXX has had a rough childhood his mother had died a week after he was born and his father passed a few years ago in Florida after a rough struggle of Lou Gehrig's disease. NXXXX has most of his family in Florida he is the only person left on his father’s side in Kosovo. He currently lives with his uncle, uncles wife there four kids , grandma and invalid aunt in a one bedroom apartment in Gjakova. NXXX was sadly not eligible to enter the states at the time of his father’s illness/death. At the time I was a college student and was working part time and simply was unable to go back home. I kept in contact with him often. After I graduated ……………………..and found a full time job …………………….. I decided I was stable enough to go back him and reconnect with NXXXX. When I went back home we instantly became inseparable and on August 17, 2013 we decided to get married. Even though we had a small ceremony with our close friends and family we were ecstatic and very happy. I wanted to make sure I could get him to states as soon as possible in order for us to begin our lives together. When I came back to the United States on August 23, 2013 I immediately put in his paper work in on August 29, 2013. I sent out the I-130 along with all proper documentation. I have heard several scenarios of how these cases take a long time and are aware of processing times however my fear is that the paper work will take much longer than expected and I will not be able to take time off to go back in addition to spending a lot more money which can be used to support us until he is able to find a job and is situated in the States. I would appreciate it if there is any way you and your team can help me in my situation. I just want to start my life with my husband and have him see the light at the end of the tunnel through these very difficult times he has encountered.

They replied after they called

Thank you for emailing me. I am truly honored to represent the people of the Bronx and Queens in Congress, and I appreciate knowing your thoughts on the issues confronting our nation.

In the coming weeks, you will receive a more detailed response from me specifically addressing the matters raised in your email. I do, however, appreciate your patience in the meantime, as I receive a large number of letters, phone calls and emails on a variety of issues every day. For this reason, I also only respond to the correspondence I receive from residents of the 14th District of New York. If you are not a constituent, I encourage you to contact the Member of Congress who represents your area.

Again, thank you for writing. Please feel free to visit my Web site at http://crowley.house.gov - where you can also sign up to receive my e-newsletters, which provide updates on my work on behalf of the people of New York.

They asked me to send a copy of my noa1, photo ID And fill out a form they emailed to me

Greetings,

Thank you for contacting Congressman Joseph Crowley’s Office with your immigration concern. Please see below for the response received to the inquiry made on your behalf to the National Benefit Center:

A review of our systems shows that Case MSC......….., Form I-130 filed by FXXXX BXXXXXX MXXXX on behalf of NXXXX MXXXX was received in our office on 08/29/2013 and is currently pending. The estimated processing time for I-130 petitions is an additional six months from today’s date. These delays are due to workload factors not related to your constituent’s case. If your constituent does not receive a decision or other notice of action from USCIS by that date, please don’t hesitate to contact us again.

I will continue to follow-up on this matter in 6 months and notify you on any information pertaining to this matter received. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact me at Congressman Crowley’s Bronx District Office at (718) 931-1400.

Sincerely,

My response a month later

Good Afternoon,

How are you? We spoke several weeks ago about my husband’s pending I -130 and you informed me about the inquiry which stated that its going to take an additional six months. I wanted to ask is there any way you can find out if a K-3 visa is obsolete I had sent one in as well on September 19, 2013 I-129 MSC.....….. At the time when we spoke I had done research of the K-3 and it was mostly referred to as being obsolete so I did not pursue asking any further questions of it. Now that the National Benefits Center has declared longer i-130 approval times I am curious to know will my k-3 visa be processed quicker. I am planning a trip to visit my husband in January and it has become very difficult for me to take the time off from work and after January I plan on pursuing my Master’s degree so I will not be able to go during the semester this is why I wanted to ask you to find a definite answer. I am so sorry for contacting you once again I understand how busy you must be but a trip back home is costly and I feel puts my job at risk. If you please can make an addition inquiry of what the current state of my i-130 and i-129 I would really appreciate it.

Regards,
FXXXXX BXXXXXX MXXXX

Attached I sent everything she asked for originally and then a noa2 for my i-129f

Her response years later

Greetings,

Please see below for the response received regarding your I-129F petition, according to the National Benefits Center:

Case MSC.........., Form I-129F filed by FXXXX BXXXXXX MXXXX on behalf of NXXXX MXXXXX was received in our office on 09/11/2013 and will be adjudicated along with the I-130.

I hope you find this information accurate and beneficial. I will continue to follow-up your petition April 2014. Please keep in mind, you may be contacted by the USCIS before this date. If that’s the case, please proceed with following their instructions.

Happy Holidays

Thanks! I will do the same. I am considering visiting my congresswoman's office as it is just 10 mins away if we don't see any movement soon. If needed, I will go to the local USCIS field office and ask about my case. I figured at this point, the worst they can do is tell me to go home. I'd rather sit at an office than sit on the phone for 2 hours waiting for a tier 1.

festamati89 - Did you email or send a written letter to your congressman?
I typed it emailed, mailed and faxed it lol
