I had the same thought..and also..what month-petitions have been transferred there?from what I've been reading looks like that other than August filers also July and June are in Kansas, but I don't know about previous months..so the question remains, will it be faster for us or longer??

Its May filers as well I think. What I have deduced from reading posts on here is that April filers are at NBC Missouri and are then sent to respective field offices. May and onwards are all been sent to Kansas.

What I don't know is if those petitions are being sent to Kansas to be approved there or is it again a stop before our file gets sent to a field office.

Judging from what I read on the post below, and from the NBC meeting minutes, the Division 8 they are opening up at Kansas, is to solely deal with stand-alone I-130 petitions. This could mean that they are approved at Kansas, rather than be shipped off to local field offices. Or it could be wishful thinking on my part. I don't want our petition at the Baltimore office, their receipts are far more than their completions!

I think it would make more sense for them to process the petitions directly at NBC in Kansas rather than transfer them to the local offices since a lot of them are dealing with backlogs..and that's what I'm kinda hoping cause we would be dealing with Newark and it doesn't look so good!but as you mentioned before new employees at NBC Kansas might slow down things..we can just guess for now,but lets hope for the best for us all!
