I know they did this to buy more time, do you guys know what do they ask in RFE's? I believe I have sent everything but I guess they just want to give hard time.

Guys,

I called the NVC and I got my case # and the IIN today. I’m trying to complete (on-line) the DS-261(Choice of Address & Agent) but it seems that the numbers I just got are not released into the system yet.

Do you know how long it takes to be able to fill the DS-261?

Please advise!

Hi Cristina375,

I'm still waiting waiting for my NOA2 as well. My PD is Aug 1, 2013. After waiting for almost 11 months, they send me first RFE on may 21, still waiting for hard copy.

What were your 2 RFE's ?

I'm really worried as what they might have asked for :(

Do you know if AOS and IV invoices come at the same time? I filled DS261 and paid AOS fee on 5/12, and have not received the invoice for the IV fee. I called NVC and was told it will take 30 days for them to review and accept the DS261 and then they will invoice the IV fee. Does this sound correct to you?

You will get the IV after the AOS is approved. They always say 30 days for everything. Hopefully, it will not take nearly that long. You can check my signature. We were jerked around because of computer glitches at NVC, but it wasn't too bad. I think they will make the AOS available after the DS-261, then the IV after the AOS. Good luck!

I hope it doesn’t take that long!!!(KEEP FINGERS CROSSED)

I really regret to say that calling the NVC is so depressing!!!

On May 21st, I called the NVC and I got my case # and IIN. Funny I still can’t login to fill the DS-261 form. Called back again and I was told it could take a month for the numbers to be released into the system.

When NVC recieved my Affidavit of Support (AOS) fee and it showed paid in the payment portal I forgot to print and email myself my Affidavit of Support cover sheet. Now I am trying to recover it but I can't. I now realized I need the bar coded cover sheet to send my AOS packet. Only thing holding me back. Does anyone know how I can regain that? Please help!
