Does anyone know what the current wait time is between when NVC receives your file to assigning a case number?

Thanks.

30 to 40 days friend..

But we have some August fillers who got case within 7 days, and that's remain as misery how they got it..

I think it's depend on luck.

ha I just called NVC and was told that it takes 8 weeks for them get the case in their system

1) called NVC and find out instead of waiting for email.

2) 8 weeks is their normal answer.. NVC will have your case withing 2 weeks after Noa2.

So keep calling them.

Well, I called and spoke w/ a T2. She initially said it was a glitch in the system, but then told me (after some prying) than an RFE was mailed on 3/12. Odd that I have not received it yet.

God damnit.

I read everything our attorney submitted. The T's and I's were all crossed. If they even ask for more proof of bona fides, I will be seriously upset.

I just received a RFE email, so i guess i will have to wait till i get the letter to find out exactly what is being requested?

As an addendum, it's odd that my status is still "address has been changed" on USCIS website. You'd think it would be changed to RFE a whole 7 days after it was processed.

Our case was received at NVC on March 6. No case number yet.
