Received NOA2 Approval email on 12-12-2013. Requested an expedite on the petition because our youngest daughter got an ameba infection following typhoon, and doctors weren't sure if it was water contaminant or some sort of food contaminant. I hope that the NVC goes quickly. I also hope everyone that is still waiting for NOA 2 that it comes quickly for all of you too. I know how challenging it is being apart from the ones you love. Take care everyone, and I wish you all Happy Holidays.

I suggest requesting an expedite for the NVC since the expedite for the USCIS does not carry over. Put a call in to your senators office. They should be able to push it along

Super excited that Hubby is coming this week! Please all keep fingers crossed that there is no issue with him entering US on his B1/B2. He has already printed his return ticket (Jan 2 departure) as well as his HR letter from IBM India and his current rental agreement for our flat there.

We can't wait to spend the holidays together here in the USA!

Just thought I'd introduce myself and say hi! I'm Sarah, and I live with my wife in the UK with our 3 year old son. We've been living here for close to 7 years. We applied for our spousal visa just after the DOMA Supreme Court Decision this summer, and we're an August filer. NOA1 came shortly after and now we're in the waiting game for NOA2. (I'm the US citizen, btw.)

Crossing fingers for happy news in the first few months of the new year!

I called USCIS today to try to get info on my case since I've heard nothing. She said my case was not there, that once I received the Notice of Action (797-C), that it was no longer in their hands and would be in the hands of DOS. This contradicts ANYTHING I've ever heard or read. She also stated that I can't call DOS. That it's not allowed unless I have info that regards the case such as an address change etc. Im trying to find out how to request to expedite my case and I feel like I just took 500 steps backwards. Can I call DOS? Should I call DOS? Is my case really even there?? I received my notice of action for my 130 in august and my notice of action for my 129f in august also. And according to this woman, as soon as that happened it went straight to DOS? UGH im so confused and frustrated....help crying.gif

I realize i've posted this in two different areas but thought maybe i can get more help here. Maybe....maybe not. smile.png

this is confusing... they are saying your petition hasn't been approved yet but it has been sent to NVC (DOS)?

yes...im so aggravated. And pregnant and aggravated do NOT mix! The only thing I've ever received was the 797C notice of action for both my petitions!! And she was acting like i was so dumb and didnt know what i was talking about...explaining to me the order in which things occur. Telling me as soon as I receive the notice of action, its out of their hands and to DOS! :(

I dont know what to do
