My file was transfered to CSC on Jan 22 and I got Alien registration Number on Jan 28. Since then I have no update on my file. I'm patiently waiting yet concerned at the same time.

I personally think it has something to do with background check and until background checks are not completed they wont approve your petition.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. sad.png

Not an expert on this but you sound about right. Hang tight there, if you didn't do anything wrong they can't turn your application down. Approval coming your way soon!

No that is the third generic email/notification everyone gets. You can either call a Tier 2 or just wait for the hard copy like me. I got transferred 2/24. I am just waiting it out as knowing where it went is not going to expedite the case for now. hang in there for a few more days. You may get it late next week. I am not certain if they mail something out on first notification or third and add 4-5 days to that.

As long as you haven't done wrong you should be worried, however I know the feeling, it really bothers. Dual Citizenship shouldn't be a problem, I have seen people who were approved having dual citizenship.

I don't want to scare you but I heard background check could take from couple of weeks or up to one year, but hope for best and you will have approval soon.

congrats eastyo and dirk!!!

Festamati ....Im ok...impatient a little...but ok. My asthma flared up again, so im on more rounds of darn steroids. otherwise just feeling HUGE! rofl.gif Anything for you yet?? I lost track for a few days! Don't lose your mind!

Yes indeed! My college roommate grew up in Ansonia and stayed there all the way through finishing a master's degree, then moved up to MA for a job offer. There's definitely not much down there, although New Haven is close... whether that's good or bad varies depending on who's asked, heh!

I hope they can make some accommodations for you at interview time, stay safe and healthy smile.png

hahaha..for real! New Haven is decent for things to do...but like you said, matter of opinion and of who MIGHT be getting shot that night lol....Ansonia is such a little dud in the Valley I just found that SO funny! I hope they do something, I know they try to get pregnant women and women with little babies out sooner...but we'll see....still don't wanna go lmfao

hey Lisa, did they tell you if your papers at least made it there by now? we got approved on 2/19, but i figured to wait 2 weeks before i start annoying ppl devil.gif lol

All she said was I wasn't in the system and asked when I was approved..since it was only the 20th I knew I wouldn't get much lol

I sure hope you are not seriously planning to travel with a newborn on your arm….On the other hand, think of the party DP family will throw for you and babe when you get there.

At that point he'd be close to 2 months as I said because I have to wait for his passport birth certificate etc..but yes, betcher bottom dollar I will travel with him to have his father not miss anymore of his life. This is his first child and will be his last as Ive had so many issues im getting my tubes tied. We planned on having one more, but this one did a number on me. His missing everything, and I wont let him miss anymore than he needs to because of this nonsense. Plus yes, it would be the only time for a while that we'd be able to afford to go back and have his mom (who's in her 70's) see her grandson and the rest of the family also. And YES, in DR it will definitely be a fiesta lol

OK folks.....just so you have an idea of how fast some of the petitions are moving, this is what has happen for me this month:

Feb 5th - Transferred to CSC

Feb 11th - Petition Approved

Feb 20th - NVC received my case file

Called NVC today and spoke to Todd. He said to call again 20-30 days from receipt for IIN

I have been reading and reading and reading post and flow charts regarding forms and evidence to send to NVC. Trying to get everything ready but there are just some things that still are confusing to me. Everyone else seems to have a good grip on what to expect and to do......starting to feel like an idiot !!!

Love how they said 20-30 days to you and 8 weeks to me...too funny lol

I understand my friend.

but I think this is just for a small group of August fillers.

and we all feel like a home here.

NVC is confusing for everyone. We also provide all threads to Saylin.

People needs faith and blessing in visa journey that's what they can give each other in small group.

In NVC, people just ask question for next steps. Some people are left after thy received noa2.

I am sorry if I broke any Admin rules here.

oops8rh.gif

I totally agree..i go over there and its great what she did truly, but I need something more simple..over there is just TOO MUCH information and its overwhelming. Like you said..tooo big lol

I think everyone is right and we should all go on facebook or something and have our own little group message with all the information we need on there!

Everyone can add me, Lisa Rodriguez, or Harly1619@yahoo.com if it doesn't let you find me by my name. If you can't send me your names on there and I will find you!

Jaime and Izzy....don't be sad, its probably something simple like a mess up on a paper..think positive :)

As a last note, WHERE THE HECK IS MY BOY ADITYA?!!?!?!??! missing my friend sad.png

Most of the communication with NVC is done by email. Im not so sure what you receive as a hard copy in the mail though.

As for the documents you need, I would not wait for NVC to actually regenerate checklists for the AOS and IV packets, you can actually send them off before you receive the NVC checklist.

As soon as both AOS and IV are available to pay online, pay them and then send off the respective packets. That way you will avoid time lost in waiting for NVC to regenerate the checklists before you send the packets.

My issue is that I actually need a letter from the NVC to be able to get my police check from Hong Kong.

They say I need a letter, from the relevant authority, stating that a police check is required for the vida (although this I hear can be a print out from the website). It is not like the UK where I can just apply for one without any proof I actually need it, plus they will only send direct to the NVC.
