TWO MONTHS after NOA2 to case #- AND a few weeks before DS261 is accepted---and IV fee invoiced.......!!??!!

I HOPE not-- here is some OVER generalized and optimistic analysis-

looking at the 88 cases that were completed in 2013 on the spreadsheet located in the NVC FILERS forum - the average number of days from NOA2 to case complete is 58 days...

NOW for even some MORE optimism, an average is an average, some higher and some lower- so I can only hope that my case is not too complicated and I have done everything that I can to prepare my documentation so I am going to be LESS than average- (for once in my life below average would be a good thing LOL)

NOT to build up anyone elses expectations but my own BUT I am hoping for an NOA2 in a week or two and then 60 days form then be complete- IF I am living in a dream world-- its ok with me. It gives me hope -- and also sets me up for disappointment (sigh)

From what I have heard, it is about 3-4 months now from NOA2 to case complete, there are starting to be huge backlogs.... :(

Once I get my notice in the mail I will let ya'll know... sleepy.gif ....they are going to get more info than they ask for this time around and at NVC stage haha!

Also the "stupid RFE" thread has been pretty helpful by just reading the stupid little quirks from USCIS such as ink color used on paperwork.

Do you know how long the UK PCC is valid for, I was under the impression 12 months....

Also, do you get a letter with a list of things they require? I need this for my HK PCC, also I am assuming, as they ONLY send directly, they will send to the NVC and this will be shipped to London ready for my interview?

I believe it's 12 months for the UK. You'll get emails from NVC with instructions and requirements for AOS and IV packets, and if I remember correctly your HKK clearance goes directly to London who notifies NVC they've got it... in either case, it'll never be sent to you directly, and the people who need it will get it!

Unfortunately there is a backlog building at NVC, due in part to holidays and in part to snow days. These office closures have them running behind. My NOA2 was January 7 and I still don't have a case number. I was told to expect one in the first week of March -- that would be two months from NOA2 to get case NUMBER, never mind case complete. I recommend you subscribe to the NVC thread and watch people's progress there so you know what everyone's timelines look like at present.

CAN you see this file??

Its my I797C that I got yesterday scanned with some observations and notes IF YOU can see it-

In response to your notes:

A - this has been blank for everyone, don't worry.

B - boilerplate text, same for everyone.

C - correct interpretation, and even for valid service requests lately (on petitions outside processing times), USCIS is saying "sorry, keep waiting."

D - premium processing does not apply to our visa type, we have no option to pay more to speed things up. That's for employment-based categories.

E - 60 days has been their standard for this supplement notice, but they're not letting anyone hold them to it. Few petitions at California exceed 60 days before getting NOA2, much more common at NSC and TSC.

RFEs are unique for each person. As the poster above mentioned, the stupid RFE thread has a lot of examples. Individuals won't know what their RFE is for until they receive the hard copy in the mail; that information isn't given over the phone.

Thanks BOS_LHR, I only worry as HK are mega strict with the requirements to actually get the PCC. They said i need a letter stating that this is a requirement for the visa, hence I was hoping that the NVC would send me something to send them.... Unless LDN send me a letter when my interview is confirmed?
