How did you find out ? I wana know loosing it here

My lawyer got the information, they send him an email with the hard copy of the transfer.

Was wondering if anyone can help out

I got approved so while we are getting everything together my wife realizes she does not have an original birth certificate.

She was born in India but lives in Canada now as a citizen there.

Is it possible to get her original without having to go to India or will they accept the copy for what it is and realize hey we don't have an original it's okay?

Any insight would be awesome thank you!

Get her to google it. You may be able to order it online.

I ordered two of my own birth certs online here in Ireland perhaps India has something simular?

As far as I know, Indian municipalities don't issue ORIGINAL birth certificates. I believe they give original when child is born, and there after they issue certified copies. Certified copies issued from indian municipality are accepted to submit. Does she know anyone in India who lives in same municipality/city she was born in? Getting certified copy from there doesnt take more than few mins as long as someone can go there and mail to her.

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

You should re-examine the first 2 posts of this thread as much information is located there that will answer your questions.

The 260 has some different questions than the 230.. eg the 230 asked for the last 10 years of visitation to the US, whereas the 260 asks for the last 5 visits.

The 230 is no longer used.

She was born in Bombay I think it's Mumbai now. So Mumbai in 1993

Ok Its better if any bombay people helps u out. Coz so many differences in municipality or marriage registration office from state to state as i enquired. I lives in Tamilnadu. I got 4 original BCs from my municipality within a month time, all 4 it costs only Rs.40 for me. So Better approach someone(Friends r Relatives) from india or else ur wife have to come down to india, I think there is no online services. i may be wrong. But even if they have any online services, that wont help. Indian govt sucks... If you get any better solution, Pls share here.
