Guys I hve a questions regarding original documents and interviews

I have the original documents with translations here with me in the U.S. and my husband has only copies

now, I was just told that they will ask him for originals (overseas) when he goes for his interview.... so what I don't get is how am I supposed to have originals with translations and he also have originals with translations? there should only be one original right?

will I need mine (I have not gotten my NOA 2 yet? Or do I mail the originals too him ? (it will take about a months prob to arrive)

The original documents (I'm pretty sure) need to go first to the beneficiary - as they will be doing the next stage of the application. Then the beneficiary will send them to NVC and NVC will forward them to the embassy for the interview.

I'm also nervous about sending originals - I'm hoping that because Canada allows you to file almost everything at NVC electronically that I'll be able to send copies of everything and just bring the originals to the embassy at my interview for verification.

With the way USCIS seems to lose things, (and then send RFEs for things you've already sent) I'm justifiably nervous (I think) to entrust my original documents to NVC!

Is your timeline updated?

It doesn't matter who sends the documents to NVC, either spouse can do it. A lot of people have the US partner do the mailing because it's cheaper, faster, and more reliably tracked than sending from abroad.

Also worth noting that either spouse can fill up and submit the actual online forms, since now it's just a digital signature required.

What the hack..

They terminated my 129f..

I need help guys..

Whats this lines mean?

On February 21, 2014, your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was terminated because you acquired status or the benefit being sought through other means. No further action will be taken on this case.

Yikes! Well, hopefully that means that the approval of your I-130 is already in the pipeline, and that's what they mean by "You aquired status... through other means." Frightening though!

I really really hope that's what it means!

I think approvals happen everyday. They may send files to NVC in batches but not approvals. And yes, last two days of August. We need transfers today! Either CSC or TSC...both seem equally efficient it seems like for august.

From what I've read, you can just send high quality PDF scans of all your original documents (being a Canadian beneficiary), so you don't have to mail them any physical documents whatsoever. Just hold on to them for the interview. I was also nervous because it'd be hell for me to get another certified translation of my birth certificate, but my fears have been put to rest :) For more info, look at this: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_for_Montreal_Beneficiaries_%E2%80%93_Electronic_Processing_and_New_Online_Forms
