Maybe your petition will be the lucky exception if it is sent to your local office (winks ;-))No one knows if all petitions are sent to the local offices. It seems some are while some aren't.

Hey I'm another august filer.

Send I-130 from France via chornopost 08/02/2013

Confirmed delivery via chronopost email 08/06/2013

NOA1 email: NEVER

NOA1 hardcopy in the mail (France): 08/16/2013

Entered information into USCIS system says NOA1 active 08/06/2013 and now initial review.

Reciept number is also MSC and return address was in Overland Park Kansas.

Should be processed now at NBC since I (USC) am abroad with my wife and we are waiting together until visa process is finished. I was paranoid when the check cleared and no NOA1 email arrived, but surprised when we opened the mailbox and saw the "USCIS" letter.

Living in France since 04/04/2013

Married: 06/07/2013

USCIS:

Filed I-130: 08/02/2013 (filed from France)

NOA1: Date accepted: 08/06/2013

NOA2: Date recieved email 11/04/2013

NVC:

Received our file: 11/08/2013

File # and IIN 11/19/2013

expedite granted 11/21/2013

mailed to Embassy 11/21/2013

Embassy:

Received files 11/25/2013 (DHL)

CEAC "ready" 12/04/2013

Received packet from Embassy 12/10/2013

Submitted DS-2001 "ready for interview" 12/10/2013

We also just received our NOA1 today after sending it to the Phoenix lockbox. Is there something special about MSC as opposed to the others?

Thanks in advance.

I think local offices process paperwork a little quicker depending on where you are.

Based on info found here on vj, the NBC is in Missouri and I'm in NE Oklahoma. Trouble is, the latest report doesn't list I-130 or I-129F applications.

MSC (new name is NBC) collects the petitions and reroutes them to local offices, if necessary (except those filed by USCs living abroad).

I'm the beneficiary.

Still no text or email for noa1. How long does it usually take? USPS confirmed delivery on 8/16

So your file gets there on the 16th, it's Friday and also most likely a casual day. Give it 5 business days. That is the norm. Or even 5 calander days!!! if you are this jumpy over NOA1 you will e in for a world of a surprise. Air back relax and if they cash the check and 5 business days go by, then you can start sounding the horns.
