Aug 2013 I-130 filers

on the speadsheet- the column labeled NOA2- is that be interpreted when the hard copy of the transfer is recieved telling them which USCIS office the file was transferred to.. OR

is it when USCIS has approved the application and transferred it to the NVC for processing--

I think some clarifications are needed becasue many people are saying they got NOA@ 8 and 10 days after transfer- IF that is NOA@ moving it to the NVC that is really something- but I suspect that is not the case and would like somone to elaborate on what that NOA2 SHOULD be.

My understanding is that NOA2 is notice of approval so the actual date that the service center approves the i130.

so like in my case I was transferred and got 3 emails about transfers but my NOA2 is Feb 12 the date that my USCIS status says "post decision activity"

On February 12, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN.

i got transferred today ....wondering where ?

most of us have been going to csc....a choice few went to texas..you'll know within a week or so

ah right, thanks! that thread was intimidating for ages, too much info- but eventually read the first 2 posts before diving in.

Maybe we should put a new column on our august google doc to chart that black hole?

I like the idea of adding another column to our sheet so we can see the time from NOA2 to NVC received. Then once NVC received we know we will go on that sheet for further tracking

We got our official letter in post today about approval.

Yes, you'll need transcripts for the NVC stage. Best head over to the NVC threads and start reading the first 2 posts in great detail to prepare for what's ahead/required.

How long did people leave it before they called USCIS to find out where they had been transferred?

Can/do they tell you and does it need to be a tier 2?

I don't believe you can call to find where you've been transferred, but your hard copy will arrive soon which will indicate where it went.

I didn't get an email either...

We just got our transfer notice by email! Yes!

We sent in the I-130 on Aug. 21st 2013. Not sure where they are sending it yet.

We have a few fundamental questions- I hope someone knows the answers!

1) Anyone who is living in Brazil- what have your experiences been? How long did it take to go through the NVC/Consulate steps?

2) Any advice about the Brazil consulate in Rio and medical exams?

Hi everyone!

Just want my status updated on the spreadsheet. Finally got my hardcopy today and was transferred on Feb. 11th to CALIFORNIA! Woot woot!

Btw, my PD is Aug. 15th.

If you are waiting for a transfer, hang in there... It's coming! I know, easier said than done.

NOA2 column tracks when people receive approval for their I-130, and yes, many people have received NOA2 8-10 days after transfer. California is processing petitions very quickly. That NOA2 date is not the same as the day USCIS ships the case to NVC, however. NVC stuff isn't tracked on this spreadsheet.

Wow so it COULD be a week or two from transfer to approval- Then you go right into NVC stage!! That is VERY encouraging.....I BELIEVE that I can get through the NVC stage very quickly because I have gathered all documents and just waiting for ANY request..
