Soooo I started feeling down then read these threads and I must say medicating with wine has me chuckling. Everyone here gives me hope as we prepare for month 4 of waiting... We made it this far! No goin back now! ?

In case you guys haven't stumbled upon this yet... someone has kindly created a general email (google doc) for all of us to copy and paste and send it to everyone on the email list (on pg 3 of google doc). The plan is that everyone will email/fax them THIS TUESDAY (11/19) in hopes to raise awareness of the issue of the long dreadful processing time. Please help take part in this issue and pass it along.

I truly believe if we all took part in this, we can make change!

wth...the waiting time just went up to 13 months....are you kidding me.....what is us government doing

Remember they are transferring the backlog. My guess is that the new times are for NEW petitons being filed. Also, the times are from Sept 30th. So anyone filing after that can probably expect the longer processing time. Most people who are getting transferred are getting approvals in a month or so !!

It could vey well be. As things stand right now, if they don't pick up the pace, a 13 to 14 month wait for the whole process is about right. I think 16 months is alil bit of a stretch but then I am forever an optimist!

For how long this is taking I'm wondering why my wife and I put off filing the I-130 so long - we too are stuck like everyone else in the abyss of overland park. Oh well.

Anyhow, assuming NOA2 comes through at about the 13 month mark it will mean we've been married for >2 years so get the IR-1 instead of the conditional. So silver linings and all that. Plus we're together in Australia and there are worse places to be - but damn do I miss skiing.

Omg yesterday they were just at may june and july cases with beneficiaries from the phils, and now theyre starting to transfer august! Hopefully more to come.. :)
