NOA2 email

We woke up with the "approved, post-action activity" email this morning.

Again for clarity we are filing from abroad, both of us from France.

We tried to expedite last week (bad parent situation, but not us personally). They said it was not reason for expedite but a tier 2 said just turn the proof in so they could see what exactly are the details. We got the confirmation that they recieved the documents but never heard back. We sent the documents to Lees Summit, but our NOA1 was addressed Overland Park.

So you do you think the expedite request had anything to do with your approval? Or was it because you applied via DCF?

Isn't it kind of funny how quickly they can approve expedites/DCF's, but just let everything else sit? I mean, they obviously have the capacity to process these petitions quickly but appear to be choosing not to.

I honestly have no clue, it is such a joke how they handle everything with no order. If I find out any other details I will let you guys know.

Thank you,

We tried to do an expedite, the Tier 2 we talked to said he was sorry about our situation (with my family back in the US) but that we personally (my wife, and myself) were not in any personal danger or expedite situation. He said to just turn the proof of my family situation in reguardless since it would not have a negative impact on our file anyways. So that is what we did.....I faxed over documentaion of my US families situation and left it at that.

I have no idea if it helped, or if they happened to pull out our file and see what the situation was....I honestly do not know. I'm sorry I can't be more of a help here and hope noone is annoyed we were approved already while so many are waiting...

Most cases I have see of I130's for people filing abroad are always on a fast track, cant really be used to compare against local Aug filers, sadly.

Nov 2013 filers are now being sent to Service Centers. No longer to Overland. I am going to be seriously PISSED if Nov 13 filers start getting approvals within 2 months of their filing date!!!

And I bet you good money that it will happen!! It did summer 2012 with K1 filers. People that filed in Jun - Jul - Aug 2012 had to wait 6 to 8 months for approvals. Once USCIS started shifting the workload in Sep 2012... Sep - Oct - Nov 2012 filers where adjusticated in as lil as a month!

My guess, for NBC not processing ANY petitions whatsoever is because they were counting on OP opening end of Oct. Now we know that they are not.. at least not Division 8 that was supposed to be handling the I-130s.

The really bad bad news is that they are not spitting out any approvals. And USCIS has already said that some files will remain in NBC to be approved. The question is are they going to leave them there waiting till the ridiculous Division 8 finally opens??

The only thing that is sure is that Nov 13 filers will get a faster approval then Jun thru to Oct filers. April and May I think will be approved same time as Nov.

But that is just my opinion.

somebody posted something in another thread about how they are expecting the transfers to flow into April filers. I guess we'll see in the next few weeks. There have been a few approvals here and there and just the other day there was a January approval. ( they waited 9 months and 13 days) There are also people who still do not have timelines.

It is so crazy how they don't have these files scanned in to make them electronic so if someone from another service center needs to adjudicate it, they can just pull it up online... Wouldn't that save so much money in shipping and transporting the actual paper file? Pay a bunch of people to be scanners. File the original in a central location. Then have designated people to pull when the file is approved to go out to NVC. It makes more sense to me instead of paying to transport the dang things. It doesn't take a brain surgeon.. LOL SUCH POOR PLANNING on the USCIS. But they don't pay the price, they just move the dates back so they don't have to answer to anyone. GRRRRRRRRRR

You and me BOTH..... They transferred Feb and March to the service centers.... Nothing happened so far with the April filers, we are still stuck at the NBC at LS..... May thru Sept or Oct(?) sent to OP and now Nov being sent directly to service centers... Nothing about this sounds good... Only that the transferred files are starting to be approved... I'd feel a little better if the NBC would just process what they have. I have no idea why they haven't been processing all along...

They have been processing I-130s. DACA and PV ones. Not ours.

NBC in Overland Park is operational, just not fully. Sans Division 8!

I agree with you that Nov filers will probably get their approvals sooner than us, May- end of Oct, filers.

But, the fact that new petitions go straight to the service centers now, IMHO, means that OP is not and will not be fully operational any time soon.

Sigh.

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, no one can ever tear them apart.
