Perhaps I am reading the wrong, but why does the VJ site say CSC is one of the worst centres for processing?

It also says it is last (behind NBC!)...

I know! It's very strange... and the VJ site doesn't have any data for NSC at all. I know that it must be an old system, but I do wish someone would figure out how to update it!

I think the deal is that those Timeline things don't update with Transfers (since we don't add them to our official VJ timelines) so they are only working with the data of those people who were originally sent to CSC, not those who have since been transferred there. Since CSC is mostly processing transfers, that might explain the differential.

If your info was originally sent to NBC, you continue to show up in the NBC timeline, not the timeline of the service centre you were transferred to.

Crazy Crazy USCIS!......

..... It seems that CSC is taking the transfers as it is the quickest centre. This makes sense as they need to quickly process the August & September transfers that have been sitting at NBC as the centres now have a backlog of files that were sent directly...

I think that NSC and TSC will start on October in the next few months while CSC cleans up August/September..... However lets see how quick they are in the next few weeks...

Question, does anyone know if i can get a F1 or J1 student visa while my i130/CR-1 is pending? I ask as I want to do an exchange to finish my research, however as I am not going as a "tourist" I need the student visa....
