hey guys... my received day was 08/06/13 i received my transfered on 02/03/14 and today i checked my status and it says that my petition well both the I-130 and I-129f was transferred to my local uscis office.. can some please tell me if thats good or bad? i am from nashville, TN, so i guess that would be Memphis, TN

Hi! Welcome! You will find this question a bajillion times on this and every other "Month/Year I-130 filers" thread. Please, in future, before you ask a question, check at least a couple of pages back to see if someone has just answered it.

That said, the question is new to you, so here you go.

The transfer emails are valuable only insofar as they tell you you've been transferred. Which is a good thing, because NBC has become more or less just a clearing house for I-130s. Other than that, nothing in those notifications is useful.

If you've signed up on the USCIS website for updates, you will get (probably) 3 emails with variations on the wording. Useless. You will ultimately get a hardcopy in the mail, which will tell you which service centre you've been transferred to. It will not be a local office. They don't process I-130s anymore. Your transfer will go to California (CSC), Nebraska (NSC), Texas (TSC) or possibly Vermont (VSC). It has nothing to do with where you are, geographically. Just the luck of the draw as to where they're sending them that day.

its good....both the petitions were transferred and now im quite sure your 129f will be tossed away but you'll be all good for your 130...which is better for all in the long run. Your in DR also, so you give me hope actually lol.....I have a date of 8/2 and neither of my petitions have been touched..thought maybe it had something to do with Dom Rep...but I guess that's not the case either....so congrats on your transfer and I hope your approval is very fast after your transfer...GOOD LUCK :)

It took a while since the transfer compared to the others with the same PD. Was wondering what happened. Am glad this is out of the way now.

It doesn't matter what the timestamp on the "touch" is, all that matters is the transfer service center that has been assigned to you.

Its stated on the piece of snail mail sent to you (that will get to your USC spouse in about 5 days).

Did u get yr letter ?/called tier 2 and asked ? Congrats for your CSC dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

You will get an approval from there between 7-60 days - and based on trends for August, we know its either going to be CSC or TSC.

Luckily for us, they are pushing TSC to adjudicate faster.

How did you know this? As such no trasnfers to TSC are approved....Then

fingers crossed....

has anyone used the online system for an address change?? I need to change my address and I keep getting an error that the form number does not match my receipt...I am selecting I130 and then my receipt number....any idea why it wont accept that form number?? someone please help :(

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

Thanks! I've been lurking here since day one. You guys have helped keep me sane.

Luckily i'm living together with my husband in Brazil during this process and we've been here together for 8 years already, so we don't have quite as urgent of a situation as others. I really admire and feel for the people who are waiting this time out separated from their significant others.

Also, thank you so much those who are compiling the timeline document. It is by far the most transparent metric we have for estimating the length of this process.

It is a great place to keep your sanity....even when I freak out, I make some sort of comedy of it haha
