I really hope someone can give me some heads up with this one.

I filed for AOS in February, and I'm still waiting for any news from USCIS regarding my green card. I've just got a job, and my husband and I will probably have to move to a new address (same city) at the beginning of October. Since our lease expires at the end of August, we are planning on staying either with friends or in a hotel in September. Now these are my questions:

1. Should I notify USCIS about my change of address twice - the temporary address first, and the permanent address after one month?

2. Which are the steps to notify USCIS of the change of address of both the beneficiary and the petitioner?

3. I heard many people's immigration documents get lost in the mail after they change address. What should I do to make extra sure I still get correspondence from USCIS after moving? Do you guys know if the USPS forward mail service would work?

Thank you all soooo much for your help - this whole process just leaves me completely drained sometimes. I wish we would've got married and applied for a CR1, instead of going the K1 route.

- I am the beneficiary -

You have to inform them within 10 days of your move and USPS mail forwarding doesn't work for this. I believe you have to file AR-11 and also call them to change address when you have a pending case. All I can suggest is to pay attention to the mail. Good luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
