Anybody with info. on embassy in Tirana, Albania?

I am upset and confused. My husband called the embassy this morning to see when we might expect packet 4 (the last step). They told him to NOT expect anything in December because they don't do work on packets in this month. They received our packet 3 on Nov.6.

I am going to be in Albania from Dec23 - Jan 5 and was hoping for an interview during that time...

I want to be with my husband during his interview no matter what! HOWEVER, it is very expensive to buy last minute plane tix to Albania from the states. Do you think the embassy can take any of this into consideration? Should I call them back and explain my travel issues?

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm headed to Albania to see my fiance on 12/11, so I'm sure we'll probably hear the same thing. We haven't gotten packet 3 yet, but I plan to organize all of his documents beforehand....that way when he get's it, he can just turn around and hand everything in.

Creel said to let your fiance do all the calling to the embassy since he is Albanian and most of the workers speak his language. He might try calling again to explain, but I don't think YOU will get anywhere with them. Ask him to give that a try and see what happens. Sorry about your delays.
