I am new in this forum and I know there are intellectuals and experience people here, I submitted my form I-485 January 2011 in Connecticut and I received a response for my work authorization on time and Interview date, but we move to Georgia before the interview day and we did the change of address, as suggested by USCIS website, but our interview was scheduled to Connecticut, I and my wife went there that day, but when the lady that was suppose to interview us ask us we do we live we said Georgia, and we actually flown from Georgia to CT that morning for the interview, She later said she can not interview us that we should go to Georgia, and she said she will forward our file to Georgia, we left to Georgia that day, and we were expecting update on the website for like 6 no update no communication from USCIS, then we schedule an appointment with them, we drove 4 hours from where we live in Georgia to the Atlanta, when it was our turn the lady that attended to us collected the info pass paper from us and said we will get back to you, without any information.

After waiting for 3 month we called again and they kept sending automated the same response to us every time, last Year December we received an intent to denial from them, the letter said failure to present adequate evidence during your interview, BUT WE NEVER ATTEND ANY INTERVIEW, then they said my previous divorce certificate doesn't look like original due to typographical error, they request for original, I called my Ex to send the paper work from her lawyer because I refused then to show up in the court when she was filling for Divorce being a young man going through that, she did and we sent everything they asked for our joint, account, insurance, everything we had. After all that we did not receive any mail or update on the website, if we call sometimes it seems like our file has being misplaced but we started calling them every 2 weeks, about 2 month now, they sent us a letter after calling again that we are working on your case and you will be schedule for interview soon, till now we did not hear anything and is almost 2 years, I cant go ahead with my Master Program or take a good employment, because they kept asking for my Green Card,

Please I need your help and advise, my life and future is on hold by USCIS, and my wife does not want us to leave in another country, and I am getting old everyday. I was a senior Manager in my formal job before we started this process now a cleaner in a factory,

I need a help and advise. you can ( contact me by pm on Visa Journey)

Thank you

Prince

Welcome to the forum.

Consider making an InfoPass appointment and/or contacting the DHS ombudsman:

I think you had postal mail problems. Is possible to talk to an ISO, a Tier 2 human, at the call center, and go over 'returned mail pieces', giving over the proper address. Also, write up a name card showing all names at your address, and put in yer postal box.

However, the postal mail problems are really side issues, but (IMO) caused a lot of problems.

Although you know the local office, is possible to fix this via yet another infopass appointment. However, I strongly suggest you engage with the Immigration Liason Staffer Human at your Congressman's office, on Monday, giving over the privacy release form (find it, prep it, sign it, fax and email it) and writing a longish dialogue about what happened. Usually, an ILS human can get things done, in a timely fashion.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

Did you pick a congressman this morning? You have 3 - 1 representative and 2 senators. IMO, call in first, ask for the immigration liason staffer - that's a title , btw,

and

explain a bit, ask how long they've been doing that job.

So, the congressman's ILS Human told you to contact the Ombudsman? OK!

Seems a disconnect, really.

You should telephone USCIS and inquire for casefile status.

Then, when you learn of their answer, report back here.
