Bulgaria must be different in what you need. All different areas of germany don't require all the same documents, it all depends on your towns registrar, known as standesamt. My town's clerk son is getting married in germany and he told me exactly what I needed to do, where to go, and how to do it. Plus joaozinho, person who first responded, explained exactly what he needed and it coincides with what my town clerk provided me with.
